(More customer reviews)I wondered if this camera bag would fit the Canon 7D with the 15-85mm lens together with the reversed lens hood attached - it does! It is a very close fit with some bulges and I do not know yet how durable the material will be in the long run, but for now it does the job perfectly.
(The 15-85mm lens is well under 4 inches long, but a very wide lens and there is no indication of the maximum lens width in the product description. The 15-85mm lens with lens hood attached has a 12.2 inches(31 cm) perimeter and 3.9 inches (10 cm) diameter.)
I would like to note though that it will definitely take more than just a second to get the camera out of the case or back in for storage, it is NOT a fast "walkaround" storage. It does however provide some protection to scratches or bumps and it is so light and the material is so flexible that the camera bag will not take up much space in a pocket or camera backpack. For me the latter was an important plus, so I am very happy with my purchase. Also the feel of the material is very nice and you can carry the camera on its neckstrap while it is in the neoprene bag.
All in all exactly what I was looking for with the only exception that it takes some time to get the camera in and out of the case.

(More customer reviews)I bought this card for a Canon HF10 and what a difference it's made in the video I can capture. I can now max out the specs of my camera, and do so with speed. So far I haven't lost a single frame, and the roomy 8GB gives me plenty of recording time. It's also a great card for dSLR cameras (Canon in my case). While it's not going to have greater quality than an average class 2 SD card, it records still images a great deal faster and has a lot of room to do so (something very useful if you save in RAW format).
My card was purchased directly from Amazon for under $50. Performance has been solid, and if the price levels out a little further, I'll buy another one.

(More customer reviews)There isn't much to say on this card. It's a class 4, making it perfect for most point-and-shoots. The speed allows sequential pictures, without having to wait for the picture to be written to the card. Formats OK in a Fuji, and shoots just as well.
I am having some issues with reading pictures off the card onto a memory card reader, but that may have to do with it being a SDHC in an older reader.

(More customer reviews)This is a great alternative for people with a digital SLR camera who want to take close-ups (Macro) of tiny things like insects and small flowers. I bought it instead of a telescoping Macro lens that costs over $1,000 and a ring light that costs over $1,000. In normal daylight I usually get good exposure but even slightly underexposed shots can be corrected with software. I have taken a couple of pictures in low light situations with my Canon Rebel XT with the flash turned to -2 with good results. Great compromise for under $50!! Even my wife was happy. Oh! The shipment was prompt also.

I can tilt the flash up and use the built-in diffuser to backlight an entire living room, yet keep the subjects in the foreground properly exposed. Group shots turn out great as the light is bright and spreads out wide and even. This flash can illuminate an entire living room, or put light on close ups with just the proper exposure. A great convenience is that when this flash is attached to the F828, the F828 automatically switches to an external flash mode and disables the built-in flash. No need to fumble with the settings. Another convenience is that it uses easy to find and stock AA batteries.

(More customer reviews)I use this bag to haul around my Nikon D80 with the kit lens, along with charger cabling, etc. with plenty of room to spare. There are 2 internal compartments sized for SD card cases, 3 separate pocket areas in the front, and the usual Velcro type compartment arrangement for the camera and gear. I am told the case is large enough to accommodate the D80 with the 18-200 VR lens fitted as well, but I don't yet have that lens to verify it myself. The camera sits lens down in the compartment. The single zipper design makes for fast access and secure containment of your gear. There is also a built-in microfiber cloth, and the pull-over rain fly is a nice touch as well. The build quality is top notch, the only complaint I have is that once you remove your camera, the weight of the bag's flap is enough to make the bag fall over if you leave it open.

(More customer reviews)I bought the A-Data 16GB Class 6 Turbo SDHC card to use in my Canon PowerShot A570 IS camera. (Yeah, it's probably incredible overkill, but I really wanted the large memory capacity.) The card was purchased in June, 2009, and has been used extensively since then with no problems whatsoever.
On inserting the SDHC card into the camera, the card was immediately recognized and quickly formatted. The camera takes 7.1-megapixel images; this card has the capacity to store 5107 of the highest-quality photos or two-and-a-quarter hours of the highest-quality video (according to the camera display).
Regarding data-transfer speed, I attached the card to my Dell Inspiron E1705 laptop and timed how long it took to load the empty card with several files that totaled about 14.9 GB. When plugged into the SD/MMC slot, the transfer rate was 3.37 MB per second; when attached to a USB port (through the neat adapter that was shipped with the card), the transfer rate was 6.63 MB per second. As I understand the SDHC rating system, the USB transfer rate makes this a Class 6 card with a 40x rating - the lowest Class 6 rating. The card can be used for the Microsoft "Vista" Ready-Boost feature, if you are so inclined.
The SDHC card I received was manufactured in Taiwan and shipped mounted on a factory-sealed display card, on which the USB adapter was also mounted.
Before ordering this SDHC card, I read most of the comments sent in by other purchasers - particularly the negative comments. Considering the price of the card, I felt the benefit-to-risk ratio was great enough to make the gamble of purchasing this card worthwhile.

Opteka 58mm Screw-in Collapsible Rubber Lens Hood / Shade Review

(More customer reviews)Lens hoods or shades are used to prevent flare from light sources at close angles to the shooting axis. They are usually necessary on telephoto lenses. Using a hood on a wide angle lens can cause vignetting, which is why 'petal' style shades, with the corners cut out, are used on shorter lenses. (Not just because they look cool.)
If you've never used a rubber lens shade, here are a few things you should know:
1. Even when collapsed, a rubber lens shade acts as a bumper to protect the lens from banging into things. This is especially important on long lenses.
2. The hood is useful for shooting through glass by eliminating reflections, even from your own flash. You can angle the lens a little without losing the contact.
3. The hood can be shaped to fit into special situations and will bounce back.
4. Adding or changing filters can be accomplished without removing the hood from the lens.
ABOUT THIS SHADE:
A very good shade for the money. The threads fit smoothly on both the lens and filter sides. The rubber is flexible, but rigid enough to keep its shape. The hood is configured in a Z-fold which gives you different degrees of shading.
BUT: The hood is too deep to use on shorter lenses without vignetting. Also, it sticks out about a 1/2 inch from the lens, making the lens an inch wider at the front. You might have issues with fitting into some holster style camera bags.

(More customer reviews)Cable releases come in different designs. This design goes back at least forty years. It is still the best as far as I am concerned. The cable release lock is not automatic -- it is totally optional, unlike the design with the concentric lock around the cable. The locking screw is simple and well designed. More importantly however, the cable is wrapped in cloth. If you ever have to shoot pictures in freezing weather, cloth wrapped cable releases are better because they don't stiffen up or stick. Those wrapped in any form of plastic have a tendency to become difficult in cold weather. Some might argue that the plastic wrapped cable releases are more durable, but not really. I've had cloth-wrapped cable releases last me for many years. This is a first-rate product at a very low price -- a bargain.

(More customer reviews)I have a Canon 7D and when taking video on the camera you have to use the back to see what you are shooting, but in daylight it is almost impossible to see what you are looking at. The Hoodman by strapping it on the camera gives me the ability to at least see what I am doing, but the main reason I purchased it was that many times when I have been out shooting I get home only to discover that my photo is not as picture perfect as I thought it was. I now look at what I shot with the Hoodman and if it isn't right I can take it again immediately to get it the way I want it. It has made a big difference in the amount of "Oh darn"s" I have when I get home. I love it. However my one gripe is paying the extra money for the piece of rubber to hold it on and the small case that is supposed to hold the Hoodman. It is a struggle getting it in and out.
