(More customer reviews)I use this bag to haul around my Nikon D80 with the kit lens, along with charger cabling, etc. with plenty of room to spare. There are 2 internal compartments sized for SD card cases, 3 separate pocket areas in the front, and the usual Velcro type compartment arrangement for the camera and gear. I am told the case is large enough to accommodate the D80 with the 18-200 VR lens fitted as well, but I don't yet have that lens to verify it myself. The camera sits lens down in the compartment. The single zipper design makes for fast access and secure containment of your gear. There is also a built-in microfiber cloth, and the pull-over rain fly is a nice touch as well. The build quality is top notch, the only complaint I have is that once you remove your camera, the weight of the bag's flap is enough to make the bag fall over if you leave it open.

Pro's
- Solid build and comfortable feel
- Expands on the camera's capability
- Holds 2 batteries so you can keep shooting during extended sessions
- Has an additional tray for using "AA" batteries in an 'emergency'
- Interfaces with the DSLR
- Setting are easily adjusted
- Several of the camera controls are remoted for easy use during portrait shots
- Off/On switch for remote buttons if you want to disable them for landscape shots
Con's
- Does not retain settings when the battery tray is removed (no battery backup). EDIT - IGNORE THIS CON STATEMENT AND SEE THE EXCELLENT INFO IN SUBSEQUENT POSTS REGARDING BATTERY BACK UP AND ORIGINAL BATTERY COVER STORAGE!!!
Minor irritation in the grand scheme of things since setting clock/calendar is
so easy
EDIT - I've now had this grip for almost a year and still love it, particularly after being corrected by subsequent reviewers regarding battery back up and, as a bonus, the original battery cove/door storage.

Due to the convenience of deleting unwanted photos and inexpensive media storage, we take a lot more photos than the film era. Today's digital camera puts a lot of stress and loading on the battery, hence the battery grip becomes an essential accessory to most of us. Jenis battery grip uses the same build material as the original manufacture on all its product lines, to ensure a long time trouble free operation with your beloved digital SLR camera. The build quality and ergonomic not only matches the original equipment, there are some added functions on the higher end products that are designed with the professionals in mind. The extra features are not available either from the original equipment or the other battery grip on the market. The S model (Standard) provides the same function/capability as the original equipment. It can take up to two Li-ion battery or 6 to 8 AA batteries (depending on the model) to provide extra power reserved for longer shooting time. Depending on the camera design, some can also increase the continue shooting speed. There is an extra vertical shutter button to provide easy operation when shooting in portrait/vertical position. The control wheel provides the same functions as the original control wheel with easy access when operating in vertical position. The P model (Professional) has all the features in the S model but with some advanced essential functions. There is a clock which not only display time, but also serves as a self-timer or long exposure shutter control that can provide up to 99hr 59min 59sec delay time/B shutter. The SD model (Super Dual Storage) has all the features the P model has except the remote capability, but adds two extra high speed CF slots for people who like to take a lot of photos on a trip. A larger B&W LCD screen is provided to display some of the important shooting information. The grip also does some basic file operation. A high speed USB2.0 connection is also provided.

It has a shutter buttons too and a zoom in zoom out preview. I havent found cons yet on this product but i would highly recommend this. I only paid 29usd though the seller offered 20% discount on check out and the shipping was free! what a great deal for a hand grip! took only 5 days shipping from check out.

(More customer reviews)Ever since I started using a Canon camera (the old F model of the late Sixties), I have followed the rule that it is better to spend one's money on good glass than slightly better body quality. I chose this model over the XSi because of the price difference. The two megapixels more was not worth the $155.00 extra to me, and a year of use confirms my decision. As does the comparison by Bob Atkins. The dollars I saved went to buying a 7D this year, a major body quality upgrade, and the dollars saved from buying that rather than a 5D are going toward another first class lens. Make no mistake, this is a first class camera for almost any kind of photography. It is five star quality all the way across the board, and I recommend it highly to anyone on a tight budget.

(More customer reviews)The adapter is very well made and fits better than most from other sources. However, it has one very irritating flaw. The M42 thread on the examples I bought are off by roughly 60 degrees, meaning that instead of the distance scale marker sitting at the top, it now sits well to the right. The A/M lever is now also very difficult to use, as it in turn sits at the top, right under the "extension" for the flash.
I have contacted Fotodiox about this, but no response.
For the casual M42 lens user, this adapter is recommended. But for the use-M42-lenses-daily user (like myself), the search for a good converter continues, as this isn't it.

(More customer reviews)I had a hard time judging the worthiness of this bag without seeing it in person, so I took a chance. First, the quality of the polystyrene and the stitching and the strap are pretty good. Second, the actual way the bag wraps up the camera was never apparent to me no matter how many web sites I looked at. Now I know; the front of the camera stuffs into it up to the back plate, a flap at the bottom-back folds over the back plate and - get this - wraps over the lens and allows the lens to stick through a hole. So it's the lens sticking through this hole that keeps the thing wrapped up. I hope that helps someone else to understand. Third, the bag isn't as convenient as i'd hoped. It seems like it might be a pain to get it unwrapped, shoot, and wrap it back up. It does, however, have a clip to attach the back to your camera strap so that it can just dangle while you shoot, and that's nice.
A problem that I have that isn't their fault - but that you might want to know about anyway - is that the bag is a bit too snug for my Nikon D50. At least it worries me how tight I have to wrap it to get the lens through the hole.
A five-star review would have meant a more convenient bag-shoot-bag process.
