I purchased this bag after trying out a Lowepro Flipside 200 which was nice and I enjoyed the security aspect but it could not fit much, nor could it handle my netbook. I have a small Samsung NC10 which I wanted to carry with me on a recent trip and this was just the bag. It allows me to store my camera gear in the lower portion and tuck away the netbook or laptop in the back which rests against your back. The upper storage area above the camera gear is also quite nice which gives you an area for misc. items, cell phone, pens, etc. If I had to pick a Con for the bag it would be the fact that its a little difficult to push the bottom padded area that stores the camera back into the bag once filled. Not a biggie because if you are carrying this bag you understand that you will not be able to easily change lenses with the bag attached to only one arm like the Lowepro Fastpack, etc. Most of the time once I remove my camera I usually carry it around my kneck and just need a secure place to keep my lenses, etc. This bag looks great and it's a perfect size, not too bulky and looks very inconspicuos when traveling, which is a bonus. It also comes with a rain pouch that you can easily cover the entire bag during those pop up showers.
This is the medium size bag of the DR series. The DR-465 does not have a laptop storage area, and the DR-467 is the big brother of the 466 which allows for a larger laptop and a bit bulkier.
I would not hesitate to recommend this product to a friend. Also Amazon has a good price on this which appears to be the going rate amongst other e-tailers.

Love this bag. Bought it right before a 5-day tour of the Pacific Rim. Carried a D80 with grip and three zooms, along with a flash and accessories bag. Fully loaded it is heavy, but that is a function of what you put in it. Also has great outer pockets and tons of padding. I did not like the lack of a chest strap, though it comes with removable waist strap. Also the laptop sleeve is huge and easily swallowed my iPad, cleaning cloths, and a few magazines. It stands up on its own, and the bottom has rubber feet to prevent scuffing. The inner camera bag is removable, in case you want to use it as a day pack or for a non-photography purpose.
PROS:
* Lots of room
* Versatile divider system
* Outer pocket has many slots for accessories and travel related gear.
CONS:
* Will not fit under an airline seat when loaded. I had to turn it sideways and push very hard. Once under there, almost impossible to get anything out of the bag.
* Can be bulky, but if you need a bag of this size it comes with the territory.
* Outside side mesh pocket is not useful. It's V-shaped so anything that is put in there will slide out easily. Also the drawstring will not keep heavier items in. I never used it except for very light and non-critical things like food and receipts.
I'd buy it again and it's really a sleek bag when all buttoned up. Biggest plus: It doesn't LOOK like a camera bag.

Targus - LCD cleaning kit Review

My Nikon Digital SLR Camera's LCD panel had become messy with fingerprints, cheek prints, and so forth. Worse though, an old LCD panel protector had left behind residue when it was removed. I thought I was facing expensive camera repairs, but the Targus LCD Cleaning Kit cleaned my Nikon LCD panel quickly and spotlessly, including the residue from the old LCD panel protector. I was amazed and grateful. I highly recommend the Targus LCD Cleaning kit.

Tamrac Adventure 9 Photo/Computer Backpack (Grey/Black) Review

Tamrac Adventure 9 Photo/Computer Backpack (Grey/Black)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Having greatly enjoyed the fine quality and convenience of Tamrac's Adventure 8 Photo Backpack , I eagerly purchased the Adventure 9 as a more versatile travel bag. I was especially interested in being able to consolidate my camera bag and computer bag into one unit.
The Adventure 9 certainly has more room than the Adventure 8, especially in the top compartment. The bag is sturdily designed and comfortable, and Tamrac have introduced some nice extra features. I like the removable inner pocket designed for carrying laptop and electrical cords, although it would be more convenient to have it adhere directly to the bag via Velcro, rather than having the cumbersome Velcro straps that lash to inner loops.
The padded camera compartment is easier to access than the Adventure 8, although one must be careful not to spill lenses and other equipment out on the ground.
The Adventure 9 is not all good, however. The see-through lined compartment has limited uses other than as a "collect all" pocket. Tamrac's special "Memory and Battery Management System" is pretty useless if if you utilize a memory case such as Gepe's CardSafe Watertight Memory Card Case . The memory management compartment just take up otherwise needed space.
Despite its larger size, the Adventure 9 has fewer compartments than the smaller Adventure 8. There are times when I would like extra compartments in order to stash small items and extra goodies, such as small bottles of sunscreen, hand sanitizer, and lens cleaner.
As a word of caution, the padded camera compartment is deeper than it looks in the advertisement photos. If your equipment is of standard size (in other words, not gigantic), you may have to be creative with the padded inserts in order to keep your gear from shifting or flopping around inside the compartment.
When accessing the camera compartment, the top quick release buckle tends to constantly flop down into the compartment. I'm constantly annoyed with it, shoving it out of the way to get to my gear, only to have it flop back into the way.
Both the Adventure 8 and Adventure 9 backpacks have waist straps. However, the Adventure 8 has a rear sleeve in which to stash the waist straps when not in use. For some unknown reason, this sleeve was not included in the Adventure 9 pack, leaving the straps to dangle needlessly below the bag. If it didn't reduce the bag's resale value, I would probably cut the straps off just to be rid of the annoyance.
According to the Tamrac website, the rear computer compartment holds 17" laptops up to 15 1/2" x 11" x 2". Most Apple notebooks run a bit slimmer than that, so access is not a problem. My computer, however, runs those exact dimensions and will not fit due to the compartment's zipper limitations. Tamrac should have designed a wider zipper opening for easier access. I'm fearful of forcing the computer, as it may tear the zipper or the compartment.
In conclusion, I was hoping that upgrading from the Adventure 8 to the Adventure 9 would allow me the same functionality as well as the added bonus of hauling a laptop. In the end, the bags shortcomings left a bad taste in my mouth.

I spent quite a bit of time looking for the right backpack for my new Canon 40D and lenses. I wanted to use this backpack as (1) a daypack for wildflower photography mountain hikes of 7-12 miles, and (2) a travel pack (airplane carryon and storage case during extended car trips) for my camera, lenses and laptop.
I needed room for a few lenses (17-55 f2.8, 60 mm f2.8 macro, 85 mm f1.8). I will add a telephoto, but I won't be going for one of the monster zooms. My computer is a 15" Lenovo T60p.
I visited several stores to try out different laptop/camera combination packs. I was looking for comfort, ease of use, and capacity for my specific gear. For hiking, I wanted room for more than just the camera and laptop. But I also did not want a pack that was too heavy, or uncomfortable to carry.
The Kata DR-467 is just perfect for my needs. It holds all my gear easily (including the lenses listed above, as well as a 430EX flash, chargers for both the laptop and camera, and a small external USB hard drive). There is still plenty of room for a jacket and lunch on a hike. The shoulder straps are padded and quite comfortable. The waist belt is minimal, not enough to support the pack weight, but it will keep the pack from swaying. The sternum strap is adjustable and fit me well. The included raincover is a nice touch, as are the several accessory pockets. The bottom compartment for camera gear pulls out for easy access. The padded insert is removable, allowing me to use it in another pack, if I wanted to, or to use the DR-467 as a larger capacity daypack when I'm not carrying camera gear.
The Kata DR-467 strikes a good balance between protectiveness and weight. It's got decent padding for the laptop and camera, but it's still only 3.2 lbs. It seems very well made.
I tried two packs that are heavier and more protective. The Kata R-103 GDC Rucksack is a bit heavier, has more padding and room for more gear, but isn't nearly as comfortable. On my 5'11 frame, the sternum strap on the R-103 felt like a choker collar, and could not be adjusted low enough. The weight in the R-103 pulled back uncomfortably away from my shoulders. It's a great pack in terms of padding, and extremely well made, but uncomfortable to actually carry. It's not specifically designed for extra non-camera stuff, although you can carry a few things besides your camera and lenses if you toss out some of the dividers.
The other pack that I seriously considered was the Tenba Shootout Backpack, Medium, in Black/Olive. This pack has the best waist belt/suspension system of any of the packs. The Shootout comes in three different sizes. I tried the Medium, but my 15" Lenovo laptop would not fit. That left me with only the Large as an option, which weighs over 9 lbs, empty! It's extremely comfortable, of course, but I wasn't willing to carry a pack that was over 9 lbs before I put any gear in it.
Several other packs didn't hold my laptop, or just weren't at all comfortable. There were three decent choices that I haven't yet mentioned. The Tamrac Adventure 9 Photo/Computer Backpack (Grey/Black), held my camera gear and laptop, with some room for hiking stuff. But the construction quality and comfort just didn't match the Kata or Tenba packs. It seemed a little flimsy. The Think Tank Airport Antidote, Small Airline Carry On Photo Backpack impressed me as an airplane carryon. It's very well designed for that purpose. But it's terrible as a backpack to carry any distance. I thought the Lowepro CompuRover AW Camera Bag (Black) might be a good choice, but I couldn't find one to try out.
In the end, the Kata DR-467 was the best pack for my needs, regardless of price. It happened to be the least expensive as well, but clearly is better made than many other packs that cost a good bit more. I'm very happy.

At first, I thought that I would have a difficult time fitting all the contents in my camera bag and old backpack inside this. However, it was no sweat. I was able to fit my Canon 50D with 28-135mm attached w/ lens hood, plus my 50mm 1.8, my 430 EX II flash, the camera's battery charger, my 15" Unibody Macbook Pro, the laptop charger, portable external hard drive, various cables, and some adapters. I've still got room for at least 3 more lenses, a tripod, and a water bottle!
Some notable things:
1) Only thin laptops (like Apple's line of notebooks) or laptops smaller than 15" will fit in the sleeve without trouble. In fact, my macbook pro snuggly fit after I removed the neoprene sleeve that protected it before.
2) Putting your DSLR in the bottom compartment will make it difficult to pull out later. Place it in the top area for easier access.
3) I bought the black and red color thinking that the inside will match the red exterior accents. However that's not the case. It is yellow inside no matter what color you bought (by no means a deal breaker for me).
4) The build quality is great. I don't get the impression that this will come apart anytime soon. Also, the bag is very compact and fairly discreet.

Domke 701-82S F-802 Reporter's Satchel (Sand) Review

Domke 701-82S F-802 Reporter's Satchel (Sand)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The Domke F-802 is exactly what I was looking for in a satchel style photo bag that holds a serious amount of equipment for a days work, easy to access, carry and lays against your body while giving me balance (I sometimes use a cane in one hand to steady myself while walking). Here is what I have put in my bag so far: A Nikon D90 with a Nikkor 16-85mm F3.5-5.6 lens and a MB-80 battery pack attached (may take this off when using this bag); a Nikon Kit 18-105 lens; a Nikon 50 mm 1.8 lens; a SB 600 Speedlight; 2 lens hoods; a flashlight; extra batteries; cards; some manuals; and a Canon G9. And I still have room.
I have also ordered, but not yet received, one 2 compartment and one 3 compartment Domke insert for this bag, but I don't think I will need them. I should also tell you that there aren't any velcro strips on the walls of this bag like the other bags in this line. I really like the versatility this bag offers you.
Why? Well the F-802 doesn't come with inserts the F-803 does.
Upon receipt of the bag I placed my equipment in the bag with the lenses enclosed in the padded bags that came with them. This arrangements works fine If you don't mine the lack of padding. I did, however, place a thick strip of extra padding in the bottom of the bag even though this bag is padded on the bottom and the sides.
I am comfortable with this arrangement because the Domke F-802 is made of heavy water resistant canvas and is well made. I have use and own other Domke bags for years and no equipment has ever been damage in them and I use and carried them literally everywhere. I plan to use this bag to carry my Nikon on day trips and as mentioned earlier I found that satchels and messenger bags lay great against my body giving me the balance I need when shooting without a tripod and generally while carrying this equipment.
I had the Domke F-X5 large messenger bag but it didn't have the pockets I needed and I returned it. Pockets are everything. Did I mention I still had room in this bag for my Macbook. Although I will ( but don't need to) to take the MB-80 battery pack off the camera to allow for a better fit. Domke bags wear well over time and soon conform to your body. I believe this will be one of my favorite Domke bags. I will rate the Domke compartment insert when I receive them.

Tamrac 3385 Aero Speed Pack 85 Dual Access Photo/Laptop Backpack (Rust) Review

Tamrac 3385 Aero Speed Pack 85 Dual Access Photo/Laptop Backpack (Rust)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Executive summary: Buy this bag, it's exactly what you need. Trust me, I looked at the other bags out there, and this does everything, plus it's well designed, intelligently assembled, and generally perfect.
Detailed review:
I recently purchased my first DSLR (a Nikon D90), and I had absolutely nothing in the way of camera gear. I've been taking photos for a long time, and while I have a couple of cheaper digital cameras, my purchase of the D90 pushed me to find a secure, comfortable, easily accessible bag in which I could store the camera and everything associated with it.
First, a note about what I mean by "everything." As a DSLR newbie, I wanted to be able to pack and carry the following items at all times:
*The D90 body with 18-200mm lens attached
*Nikon SB-600 speedlight (large, external flash)
*50mm prime lens (fairly small, stubby lens)
*Quart-sized bag of stuff (extra camera battery, lens caps, flash mount for remote flash usage, etc.)
*D90 printed manual (just in case I need to figure out a specific setting on the go)
I also wanted a camera bag that met the following criteria, in order of importance (but all are required):
*Accessibility - I want a camera bag that lets me access my DSLR, with lens attached, in less than 15 seconds, all without taking off the bag or having to set it down anywhere (I also want to put the camera back in 15 seconds)
*Pack shape - I want a backpack, not a sling bag; I just don't feel comfortable wearing a sling-style bag or a messenger-type bag
*Subtlety - I don't want a bag that screams "$3000 in gear inside!" and I don't want a bag that is anything other than black on black
*Size - This bag needs to be sized for carrying onto an airplane; I don't want to check my DSLR and gear
*Comfort - I want to be able to wear this bag all day as a daypack but with my DSLR gear and my lunch inside, and I don't want to get back spasms from the weight distribution or from objects poking through the backpack fabric and jabbing me
*Aesthetically pleasing - Some of those camera bags out there look incredibly ugly; I want one that looked modern and stealthy, without 37 zippers or drawstrings or pouches hanging around the front and sides
*Security - Somebody else can't tear or easily cut the bag off my body while I'm wearing it, and the zippers and closures aren't terribly easy to open or unseal
*Mild weatherproofing - I'm not going to wear this bag underwater or in a hurricane, but I don't want water or dust to get in easily, either
*Manufacturing location - Although products made in China are of generally high quality at this price point, I want a camera bag made in the US mostly because I'm in the US and we need all the jobs we can get at this point
*Laptop space - My least important requirement because I don't plan to travel with a laptop all that often if I can help it, but I am willing to choose one bag over another if there's padded space for a laptop without compromising on the overall carry-on size requirement
As you can see, I'm picky. I'm also a product designer by trade, so I did my homework on camera bags. I narrowed down my options online first, and then went to local stores to try on bags, using all of my gear to see which bag would work.
I wasted my time. There were no bags out there that met my first two criteria, let alone all the rest. But then I noticed that Tamrac had just announced the Aero Speed Pack 75 and 85. The major difference between these two is the padded laptop pouch and slightly larger size of the 85. Both work as carry-on bags regardless of the laptop space.
I couldn't find any reviews for either of these bags, nor could I find a Seattle-area retailer who had them for sale so I could check them out in person. So I took the plunge and bought the 85 from Amazon. How does it stack up against my criteria?
*Accessibility - I can get at my DSLR, with lens attached, in less than 15 seconds! I love the side pocket; it's apparently the only current camera bag that has a side-access pocket on a backpack-shaped bag. Brilliant.
*Pack shape - The Aero Speed Pack 85 is a backpack. Awesome.
*Subtlety - Unlike the LowePro and other bags that have camera and tripod icons clearly visible, this bag doesn't really advertise its purpose. If you're into cameras, you'd recognize the small Tamrac logo and brand name on the front and on the strap, but I'm cool with that. Also, this bag comes in two color choices, and I went with the black on black.
*Size - This bag is a carry-on according to Alaska Airlines, so I'm happy.
*Comfort - The padded laptop pouch at the back of the bag forms a cushion between your back and the bag contents. It's one of the most comfortable bags I've worn, although it may make my back sweaty over an hour or more of use. That's probably unavoidable for a camera bag if you want it to keep out dust and water, though.
*Aesthetically pleasing - This bag looks nice. It's all black. And, it stands up on its own when empty or full of gear. Now that's pleasing.
*Security - Some of the zippers have weather stripping around the seams, which means they're hard to open. They seem like they'll get easier as I break in the zippers a bit, but I like this feature because it adds a little security.
*Mild weatherproofing - The weather strips around the zipper seams give the impression of mild weatherproofing. In Seattle, we get a lot of blowing mist rather than straightforward rain, so I'm glad this bag has the weather strips.
*Manufacturing location - Tamrac bags are made in California. Dude!
*Laptop space - There's a dedicated, padded pocket for a 17" widescreen laptop (haven't tested the fit, but it's a pretty big space). This means the laptop is safe, and I can take it out for airport security without rearranging all my stuff in my bag. This pocket also features weather stripping around the zipper, which is smart.
The Tamrac Aero Speed Bag 85 is precisely the bag I wanted. It's like the people at Tamrac decided to make a camera bag that solved all the design problems that plague not just camera bags, but backpacks too. This bag stands up on its own. I love that. There's a webbed grip on the top handle so it's easy and comfortable to lift. I love that too. These little touches demonstrate the attention to detail that Tamrac invested in this bag. It's worth the money. It's the right size. I can put my lunch in it along with my D90.
It's time to go take some photos!

Tamrac's Speed Pack 85 Dual Access Photo/Laptop Backpack is the perfect carrying solution for the photographer who prefers the comfort of a backpack, but doesn't want to sacrifice the ability to quickly and easily access photo gear. To accomplish this, Tamrac developed an innovative Dual Access System that allows fast access through the side door when the pack is worn over one shoulder. Like a traditional photo backpack, equipment can also be accessed through the front panel with the pack is removed. This versatile backpack holds and protects a DSLR with a grip and lens attached (including most 70-200mm f/2.8 zoom lenses), 2-3 additional lenses and accessories. A separate, foam-padded laptop compartment holds most 17-Inch screen laptops. For weather protection, the side door is equipped with a water-resistant zipper while the front panel has a weather flap. Inside the side door, accessory pockets hold memory cards, lens caps and other accessories. In addition to the completely foam padded bottom compartment, the pack has a large top compartment perfect for personal items, such as a lunch or light jacket. An elasticized mesh side pocket provides convenient access to a water bottle. The pack features a carrying handle and a comfortable, foam-padded backpack harness contoured to distribute the weight of the camera gear across the shoulders. Two lash tabs on the bottom allow a tripod to be carried (requires accessory straps, Model S-113, sold separately).

I love my new laptop! I have no complaints about it. It is everything I expected and does the work well. Prior to purchasing this, I did my research though; I knew what to expect. Physically, it looks great. The only minor downer is that I wish the keyboard was lit or something (but those are just small details, relatively speaking). The battery life is awesome; it easily lasts 7 hrs of continuous use. I read a review somewhere about the screen resolution not being the best, but it looks great to me. Clear enough (including webcam). Another thing I like is that it does not heat up as much as other laptops. The size is also great. After browsing netbooks (which I didn't really want but felt limited to because of my budget as a student), and browsing laptops, I am extremely satisfied with the choice I made; I do not feel limited in any way! HP made a great combination of netbook and laptop a reality!!!

First, be sure that you purchase the 467i and not the plain Kata 467. The "i" is for "improved" and Kata has added some useful features to the 467 which I believe makes this backpack the best one of this size. I don't believe another brand backpack with these same features exist...at least not for this price. I've never owned a Kata bag before, but I was familiar with their build quality and knew that they offer features that are well thought out. Currently, I have been through a total of four previous DSLR camera bags and I've finally found a keeper!
Features that sold me on the Kata 467i:
1. The Kata "Insert Trolley" slot for securing (sliding over) your carry-on luggage handle through while traveling.
2. Tripod/monopod/umbrella/water bottle lower mesh holder and upper securing strap
3. Lightweight (3.7 lbs) and high quality materials used throughout.
4. Bright yellow interior (every compartment, even the laptop area) for easily locating bag contents.
5. Top accessible laptop storage is much better than side accessible lap top storage (Lowepro FP 250). I no longer need to lay my bag on its side to get to my lap top. This Kata easily fits my HP DV6 16.5" laptop.
6. Center chest strap to relieve some of the weight from your shoulders
7. The padded floor of the top compartment unzips and folds up, allowing access to the lower camera compartment. This is great for accessing your camera when space is a concern. (coach airline seating)
8. Does not have the typical huge hip/waist belt to get in the way and dig into your back when its not being used (99% of the time), just a simple nylon strap and clips instead.
9. Rain cover is included.
10. The top handle is awesome and very comfortable carry when not having this strapped to your back.
Update:
It has been a couple weeks after purchasing this bag and I am still extremely happy with it. Now I should probably list what camera gear I normally fit into this. Nikon D90 with MB-D80 grip mounted to a Nikon 50mm 1.4 prime. Alongside that I have a Tokina 11-16 2.8 and Nikon 35mm 1.8 prime. This all fits in the lower camera compartment. A Nikon 70-200 2.8 (inside the Nikon zipper case) fits snugly in the top compartment parallel to the ground. There is a little room to spare on the top of this compartment too. After all that, there is still room for miscellaneous things like a small rocket blaster, small table top tripod, SD cards etc. in the front zipper pockets. I hope this helps!
Update 9 months later:
Still going strong. Since my last review I have sold the D90, MB-D80 grip, and 11-16 Tokina. Now using a D700 (no accessory grip) and 16-35 f/4. The 16-35 fits perfectly in the bottom side partition, and the D700 attached to 50mm f/1.4 fits with room to spare in bottom main compartment. Still an excellent backpack and highly recommended.

My Tamrac backpack arrived on time and in perfect condition. The bonus kit items are handy to have.
The bag fits all of my equipment -- being able to rearrange the space in the camera compartment is great and the Velcro is heavy duty.
I had to fight with it a little to get it to come apart so that I could move things around.
I really don't think I'll have to be worried at all of things shifting.
It was a good price and I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Kata KT D-3N1-11 3 In 1 Sling /Backpack with Laptop Slot Review

Kata KT D-3N1-11 3 In 1 Sling /Backpack with Laptop Slot
Average Reviews:

Update to the previous post that the Kata 3N1-11 Sling backpack for photographers does not hold a 13" laptop, the description reads:
"The 3N1-11 sling backpack features a unique TST RIB structural protection for a DSLR with mid-range zoom lens attached as well as 1-2 lenses, flash + small netbook + personal gear."
I own this series of bags, so to be clear, in order to carry:
Apple iPad, you will need to buy the Kata 3N1-22 - Kata KT D-3N1-22 3 In 1 Sling /Backpack with Laptop Slot
MOST 13" laptops, you will need to buy the Kata 3N1-33 - Kata KT D-3N1-33 3 In 1 Sling /Backpack with Laptop Slot
Additionally, the "Internal Laptop Compartment" dimensions read:
Length = 17 cm. / 6.7 in.
Width = 4 cm. / 1.6 in.
Height = 38 cm. / 15 in.
Whether or not your laptop will fit will depend on the bulkiness of the shell of your laptop. Please read the dimension specs for your make and model compared with the Kata dimensions very carefully.
You can read the detail on the Kata website here: [...]
I rated this bag 4 stars, because I would like a bag this size to hold my iPad. Then, it would be a perfect 5 stars for me. It holds the gear I carry (Canon 7D without a battery grip attached, a Canon 50mm f/1.4, and a Canon 24-70mm f/2). Remember. It is meant to be a compact bag, so don't plan on carrying ancilliary items AND all of your lenses. However, If I just want to carry my camera gear, including a Canon 70-200 f/2.8L IS I, I can, but then I can only carry my keys and a small wallet by unzipping the divider that opens the internal area of the bag up to include the otherwise separate top compartment where you might carry a wallet, some nutrition bars, your keys, etc. There are still small side pockets to carry a microfiber cloth, polarizers, etc.
DISCLAIMER: I am not an employee of Kata, but I do host a technology show sponsored by Kata. I personally own and use this bag, and I can definitely confirm the information as provided in this review and on the Kata website.

I didn't like the idea of a photo backpack as the camera is not accessible when you need it, but the idea of the side access area sounded great.
Other reviews reinforced this, but they warned of the weather proof zipper getting stuck, but in the end I decided to try it.
I have to say I'm very happy with the bag. the inside area is totally ajustable and big enough to hold two bodies and 3-4 lenses to transporting your equipment when travelling. It all gets heavy of course but you have the choice to only take what you need when you go on a shoot and leave the rest at the hotel.
There is also a small area at the top of the pack to carry other items - lunch etc. You don't have to run the risk of a leaky water bottle in the top killng your equipment as there is a water bottle area on the side.
Excellent bag.

The LensPen is one of the most invaluable accessories a photographer can own. Its unique design makes cleaning your lens fast, simple and effective. On one end, a retractable soft brush sweeps dust and loose particles away from the glass. On the other end, a special dry cleaning compound is used to gently remove fingerprints and spots.
The LensPen DigiKlear LCD Cleaning System has a special triangular tip that gives it the ability to clean the corners of many screens that would otherwise remain covered in dust and grime. The result is a crystal clear screen in just seconds, a feat that other cleaning items just can't match.

I bought these cloths a week ago on Amazon. I have used one of them for the last few days. I have cleaned my 35mm lenses and it did a great job. Better yet was the job it did on my iPad. It might be my imagination but I was able to remove fingerprints and smudges from the iPad screen with less rubbing than with my standard lens cleaning cloth. Another plus for this cloth if you are an iPad user is the cloth is the exact size of the screen. When I am not using my iPad I leave the cloth spread over the screen for added protection. I have a fold over case for the iPad and it keeps the cloth in place.
I have not used the cloth enough to require washing so I don't know how it will hold up. With the pack of five I got for $10.00 including shipping, I am not that worried anyway. I gave one of these cloths to a friend who also has an iPad and he really likes it.
I never thought I would be writing about a cleaning cloth, but when you get a good product, I think it is good to share your results with others.

Nikon Backpack for DSLR, Lenses, and Laptop Review

I was preparing for a trip and wanted to combine my laptop and my D70 in a single bag. I had just ordered a LowePro computrekker AW when I saw this Nikon bag.
I figured I would like to have a genuine Nikon bag for all my Nikon gear so I ordered this bag figuring I could return the LowePro.
Although the bag is well constructed, lighter and looks great I wasn't impressed at all with the accomodations for my D70. The camera storage is designed for the body with a small lens, maybe the 18 - 70 that came with the kit. With the 18 - 200 mounted the camera just didn't fit in the area provisioned for the camera.
The rest of the bag seemed clumsy to access and there wasn't a lot of storage for accessories.
In my opinion, the LowePro Computrekker AW is a far superior bag. Although it's a little larger it's worth it's weight in gold. I was disappointed with the functionality of this Nikon bag.
