The camera, the hood, extra lenses, spare battery and spare SDHC with its reader everything fits in perfect. The case feels solid and looks great. It is easy to take the camera out too. Highly recommended.

Case Logic SLRC2 Camera Bag and 2 Lenses Case (Black/Grey)

I bought this bag for my Canon 20d and I can't stress enough how pleased I am with my purchase. I looked at almost 25 different carrying cases at BestBuy and Circuit City for my nice camera and even did not find the leather Canon case to my liking.
The very best feature of this case is that it has a great base, specially if you decide to do some traveling and say there is some water or moisture where you have placed your camera, you won't have to worry of water soaking the base of the case as it is made of some sort of 100% water proof material. Not only will it prevent water from entering case if it is sitting in a pool of 2 or 3 inches water but it is hard enough that if you accidentally drop the case on its base, it will protect your valuable camera and lens.
The other super nice feature I like about this case is that the camera is never pressed against the base of the case. It is actually 'suspended' inside the case and when I mean suspended I mean exactly that. You will have to buy it to see what I am talking about but all I can say is that no other case I looked at has a feature like this for the price of this case.
Other minor awesome features are the two compartments on the side to safely store 2 additional decent sized lenses along with pockets that you can use to carry the battery charger than comes with your Canon 20D, the user manual and space to store lens caps or the caps that cover the part where the lens attaches to the camera body. There is also enough space for your 3rd party camera strap along with cleaning cloths for your lenses.
Overall I would highly recommend this case to anyone who has purchased a Canon 20D and I think it might also adequately hold a Canon 30D.

Zing 502-205 SXGY1 Large SLR Cover (Gray) Review

Zing 502-205 SXGY1 Large SLR Cover (Gray)

I purchased one Zing 502-Grey for my dad and one Zing 502-Blue case for myself.
We both have Olympus E-520 bodies and this case fits with the zuiko digital 14-42mm, 40-150mm, and 50mm macro lenses.
Since no camera bag is capable of suiting every photography purpose, I decided to get a slim neoprene case so that I could throw my DSLR in my backpack for hikes. I usually use a Kata 3N1-10 for the rest of my photography needs, but it's nice to be able to stick my camera in a regular bag and not worry too much. The neoprene is 1/4" thick and seems to provide sufficient padding. Of course, I'd still be weary of dropping my camera, case or no case... The Olympus lens-mount is a little off-center on the body, but the case fits fine. The neoprene can stretch so it accommodates a bit.
I noticed that other reviews did not mention the dimensions of the Zing 502 Large-Size Case, The case can fit Camera bodies that are 6.5" to 6.75" Wide. If your body is on the 6.75" side, it will be a little snug.
Along the bottom, my Oly E-520 body is 2.25" from the back of the camera to the start of the lens, and my hand grip is about 2.5" from the back of the body to where my right hand sits. My camera is 4" from the bottom of my attached tripod quick-release mount to the top of my hot-shoe. My lenses are all about 3" long, including lens cap and 1 filter.
One cool thing about the case is that it's reversible. The interior is black, so if you buy Grey or Blue, you can still flip to Black. It comes with a removable leash so you can attach the case to your camera's neck-strap so you don't have to worry about putting the case somewhere case while shooting. There's also an eyelet on both the inside or outside of the case, so you can hook up the leash on either side, depending on what color you decide to sport. Hope this review helps, check out the pictures I uploaded for more details on the dimensions and look.

This case is great for underwater work. I have taken it to 120 feet and I has held up fine (it is only rated to 100 feet however, so go deeper at your own risk) I use the flash a lot, but where I dive there is not much particulate in the water, so backscatter was not an issue, except when I was in caves and such. I highly recommend this case to anyone wanting to take underwater photos. An external strobe would improve photos a lot, and I am working on fabricating one to work with my Powershot. There is a tripod mount-style hole on the bottom of the case that facilitates attachment to a strobe assembly. I usually set the camera to automatically power down after 5 mins, this saves battery somewhat. I have been able to take up to 90 shots over the course of about 6 hours (2 dives and a long surface interval) with 80% of the shots with flash. Thats about as far as one can extend the battery's life. Get an extra battery if you plan on doing more work than that without a recharge, Overall it is an excellent product to go with an excellent camera

Lowepro SlingShot 102 AW Review

I bought this camera bag after reading several reviews, and decided I would use it for a minimalist approach to photography. It works well, I don't get burdened down by unnecessary gear and burdensome weight.
It's big enough to hold my Nikon D5000, battery charger, SB400 speedlight, several filters, an Olympus point-n-shoot camera in its case, a mini tripod, cleaning kit, remote, and any other utilities. It will also hold another lens, I intend to get the recently released Nikon 28-300mm VR. It should fit, based on the dimensions of all the gear and other reviews.
It works better over a t-shirt than over a shirt. Generally stick to tees or buttonless tops for comfort.
It's comfortable, light, packs into another back pack if required with space for other items. I did that for aircraft carry on during a recent trip to Petra in Jordan (October 2010).
The 302 version of the bag was too large, and I have no need for pro sized bags. If you're looking for a bag that will help you prevent clutter, give you quick, easy access to your gear, be light and unobtrusive and not get in your way, then I recommend this item.
FYI, I also own the Lowepro Passport Sling.

This product is a godsend for those who find carrying a camera bag an unnecessary nuisance while walking around with an SLR. It provides adequate protection but also allows (with practice) fairly quick removal so your slr is ready to shoot in a couple of seconds or less. The elastic strap an be placed around your waist, and I've placed a carabiner on my belt to hold my slr (in the zing) steady when I don't intend to shoot anything. Effectively, with judicious adjustments (like the carabinier in my case), this little thing can actually function as a kind of compact, minimalist, lightweight bag that you can wear on your middle ike a waist bag. Be careful when you put it on for the first time, though, especially if you have a bigger than medium lens. The material is so tight and strong that I nearly dropped the camera when my hand slipped. But overall it's an excellent, unique product that looks and feels like it will give good service for a reasonable length of time.

I wanted to take my camera equipment with me on an Ozark canoe float weekend, but needed a sturdy waterproof case to protect it against bumps and (especially) water. I ordered this case, and have been completely satisfied. I had no trouble customizing the foam padding to accommodate my Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi, a 100mm macro lens, a 18-55mm zoom lens, a 75-300mm zoom lens, a couple of spare batteries, two watches, and my car keys for this trip! The fully loaded case floated high in the water when I tested it. The latches took a fair amount of effort to open and close, but this was actually pretty reassuring when risking expensive equipment on the water. It opened and closed easily enough for me to manage while sitting in a canoe on a moving river without losing my paddle or my fishing rod. All of my camera equipment stayed dry and undamaged after spending two full days on the river. Had my canoe overturned, I have no doubt that my equipment would have been fine. That said, I should have bought the orange or yellow version rather than the black one as it would have been easier to find had I had such an accident.

Tamrac 3375 Aero Speed Pack 75 Dual Access Photo Backpack (Rust)
Average Reviews:

I got this bag for a trip to Siem Reap, Cambodia, and it proved to be worth every penny I paid for it. One of the things I really like about this bag is that it is shaped like any other day pack you find in the market and as I chose the black version, it is very discreet. If you are paranoid, remove the small tag and it doesn't at first glance appears to be a camera bag at all. I did not face any problem taking the bag on as hand-carry, and the bag fits nicely under the seat in front.
I am a beginner DSLR user and I don't have a big kit, and the bottom component of the bag holds all the below with space to spare:
* Nikon D90 with the 18-105 mm lens attached;
* Tokina 11-16 lens;
* a big bunch of Cokins filters held in a filters bag
* a Holga 120;
* 4 unexposed rolls of 120 B+W film
* a pop-up flash diffuser
* a Optec filter holder that holds a B+W 110 ND filter and a polarising filter
* a blower
* extra memory cards

The upper compartment of the bag holds extra batteries, sunglasses, my Blackberry, an Ipod, a pen, a small notebook, a towel, a small torch, a light short-sleeve shirt (rolled up), sunblock, tea tree oil and a hand sanitiser. When I am catching the plane, the upper compartment also holds a small book and my passport.
The mesh side pocket holds my water bottle (essential in Cambodia). My tripod, a Slik Sprint Pro EZ fits into the mesh pocket in front, and is held straight with a buckle strap I got that I looped through the carry handle of the bag and the tripod itself. Not only is that perfect for clambering up and down uneven stone steps at the temple ruins with my hands free, it also deters pickpockets since you have to remove the tripod in order to access the zippers of the bag.
The side access flap is weather-sealed but the zipper is not difficult to pull open or shut. It also makes taking out or keeping the camera a breeze. In fact, for much of the trip I was simply putting the camera back into the bag once I am done with it rather than having the camera hanging around my neck, or being held in my hand.
The bag is touted to be weather resistent and I think that is correct. I was walking towards my bus parked at the end of a road leading to the back entrance of Angkor Wat when it began to pour. Heavily. As I was caught in the open, between the bus and the any other shelter, I was SOAKED by the time I got to the bus, but the bag successfully kept all its contents dry.
For those of you who carry laptops, this may not be the bag for you as it does not have a laptop compartment - you need the bigger version of the bag for that. I chose this model despite the lack of laptop holding capability because I am a small size person (5"2) and a bigger bag will just overwhelm me. In any case, I usually leave my laptop in the hotel or guesthouse when I travel, so the inconvenience is minimal.
The other weakness of this bag is that it lacks sternum straps and a hip/waist strap - the first can be remedied by purchasing strenum straps separately and attaching them to the shoulder straps through some loops there, or using a pair of carabringers. However, as I wasn't carrying anything too heavy, I did not find this to be necessary and it is not a big deal for me.
I had tried the Lowepro Fastpack 250 prior to this, but in terms of ease of use, and design, the Tamrac beats the Lowepro flat. The Lowepro was just too boxy. Also, while the Lowepro has side-access as well, the quality of the zipper cannot compare with that of the Tamrac. The advantages the Lowepro has over the Tamrac is that the Lowepro holds a laptop and I think it is slightly cheaper than the Tamrac.
All in all, a very good bag that I highly recommend for travel.

Tamrac's Speed Pack 75 Dual Access Photo Backpack is the perfect carrying solution for the photographer who prefers the comfort of a backpack, but doesn't want to sacrifice the ability to quickly and easily access photo gear. To accomplish this, Tamrac developed an innovative Dual Access System that allows fast access through the side door when the pack is worn over one shoulder. Like a traditional photo backpack, equipment can also be accessed through the front panel with the pack is removed. This versatile backpack holds and protects a DSLR with up to a 7½-Inch lens attached, 1-2 additional lenses and accessories. For weather protection, the side door is equipped with a water-resistant zipper while the front panel has a weather flap. Inside the side door, accessory pockets hold memory cards, lens caps and other accessories. In addition to the completely foam padded bottom compartment, the pack has a large top compartment perfect for personal items, such as a lunch or light jacket. An elasticized mesh side pocket provides convenient access to a water bottle. The pack features a carrying handle and a comfortable, foam-padded backpack harness contoured to distribute the weight of the camera gear across the shoulders. Two lash tabs on the bottom allow a tripod to be carried (requires accessory straps, Model S-113, sold separately).

I bought this for my Nikon D90 with the Nikon 18-200 and 70-300 lenses. Although the description of the case states that it will fit a lens up to 7 inches, the case will not close with the 70-300 zoom. (This lens measures about 6 inches in its fully retracted position.) It does close with the 18-200. The "snout" of the case is rather narrow and will not fit over the Nikon-supplied hood (carried in the reversed position) for either lens. Because the 18-200 and, to a lesser extent, the 70-300 are prone to flare in some conditions, this is a serious issue.
The case appears to be a clever idea that should offer meaningful protection for a small sized DSLR with a short zoom. However, it is a poor choice for a D90 with two of Nikon's most popular lenses. Ratings reflect the case with the Nikon D90 and the 18-200 and 70-300 VR zooms.

When I first got this waistpack, I was not sure if I liked it. It seemed very well made and thought out, but I wanted a slimmer profile. As a female, I wanted something that fit close to my body, not a pack sticking out too far in the rear.
I kept thinking of returning but it really was one of the nicer constructed packs I'd seen. When I tried it with the shoulder strap, then it all worked for me. This allowed the pack to distribute the weight between my hips and shoulders (much easier on my back) plus the strap really helped keep the pack closer to my body. It no longer felt like it was going to flop over.
I spend 3 days hiking around the Blue Ridge Parkway with this pack - with my D80 with an 18-70mm lens attached, 70-300mm and 50mm 1.8 all in the bag and a monopod strapped to the bottom - and it worked great. With the shoulder strap, I could easily pull the bag around to the front and access my equipment then just push it on around to the back when done. I even used the waterproof cover when a rain storm hit us unexpectedly.
I would like to see better pockets for the accessories but otherwise it works great.

MADE Products CA-2001-BLK Seattle Sling Waterproof Bag (Black) Review

MADE Products CA-2001-BLK Seattle Sling Waterproof Bag (Black)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have been a photographer for over thirty years and I was in the wholesale professional photographic equipment business for about twenty. I now photograph wild birds in some of the harshest environments on earth so when I review an item like this I like to put it through the wringer. And that is just what I did.
First: I like the look and the basic design of the bag. The velcro for the top flap is really heavy duty. It is a good substitute for zippers IF you are using the orange bag inside of the case. The orange protection bag can be pulled out and the insert with the dividers can be reinserted without the water resistant bag. There is space for memory cards and filters just above where the top lid attaches to the case, but no where else. The backpack-type strap is unique and I liked it, although it took some getting used to. The interior space is surprisingly small considering the size of the bag. However, I don't believe that this was designed to be an "all-purpose" camera bag (as are most Tenbas and Lowe Pros). This was made for transporting equipment (photo or otherwise) into really wet environments. So that's what I tested it for.
I used the orange "bag" for all of the water tests. I stuffed the interior dividers with colored paper (I was not up for risking my own photo gear) that turns really dark when exposed to the slightest bit of moisture. Next, I took it outside and took out my garden hose and my trusty eight-way spray nozzle.
I started with the "mist" setting and held the nozzle just two feet from the bag and sprayed all around it for about 20 minutes. If you have ever been close to a great falls you have an idea of what I was testing for. The bag wipes off surprisingly well. The paper was completely dry. Success #1.
Second I used a setting that would simulate a pretty good rain storm. Since I have been caught in these many times with my own camera bag in the past (including in the rain forest of Peru and a down-pour in a South Florida that I thought would never end) I felt that one hour was just about the right amount of time. I noticed some water inside of the case itself but not inside of the orange bag. It was still dry inside. Success #2.
Now, I wouldn't have subjected the bag to this last test if it were not for the photo on the tag that showed the bag being submerged in water. I wanted to see how well the Camera Armor bag protected gear from an accidental fall into water. This has happened to me several times in my life and I have ended up damaging a Hassleblad, two Leicas and ruining a favorite view camera lens. Time for a dip in the pool!
I stood near the edge of the four foot deep part of a community swimming pool and imagined that I had a brand new Canon 50D (yet to be released at this time) and about $5000 in lenses in the bag. I "lost" my balance, fell into the water and immediately raised the bag out of the pool as quickly as I would have if it had been for real. Wow! No paper inside of the bag was even a little bit wet. However, if I had memory cards in the space that I think they were meant to be they would have been subjected to a drowning unless they were in their own little plastic cases. Success #3!
I took out the colored paper and stuck white paper inside it now. I took it to a dry field and almost covered it with dirt and sand. Again, the interior of the bag had dirt in it, but not the protective orange bag. Success #4. I was tired and gave up in any further torture.
This is a GREAT bag for what it is designed for and worth the cost. But I have to be honest and say that this model should not be considered a "Pro" bag. There just isn't enough room for even enough gear for a day trip. Also, it is hard to get in and out of when using the orange bag. Where I think that this bag fits in is as a way for adventurists to carry a modest amount of sensitive gear and protect it from getting wet or dirty. I could put a digital SLR with a zoom attached, a flash, a GPS and radio or two. Until it is available in a larger model I would suggest the pro gets an external cover for his/her existing case. If you think that you and your bag might get submerged carry your equipment in a Pelican case.
I give the Camera Armor 5 stars for water resistance and 3 for being a well thought-out camera bag, so 4 stars in all.

Great bag for the money. Excellent for a camera system. The bottom of the bag seems a little cheap otherwise I'd give 5 stars.
