Worse though, an old LCD panel protector had left behind residue when it was removed. I thought I was facing expensive camera repairs, but the Targus LCD Cleaning Kit cleaned my Nikon LCD panel quickly and spotlessly, including the residue from the old LCD panel protector. I was amazed and grateful. I highly recommend the Targus LCD Cleaning kit.

LCD Hood Cap for Canon 40D Digital Camera Review

(More customer reviews)It easily attaches to the viewfinder and covers LCD monitor snugly and protects it very well from any possible damage to it etc from occurring. The view finder cover fits tightly on viewfinder giving a snug fit. I felt that I lost some viewing site looking through it. I wear glasses and it felt a little uncomfortable but acceptable.
The Hoodman comes with own plastic cover that covers the LCD with a flip up hood which pops open for a clear view. The hood pops open with a cover located above the LCD as well as two doors that pop open to the right and left of LCD enclosing it from high lit times for easy viewing and great visual of LCD. The is a plus for this accessory. Especially on sunny days or back lit rooms and you need to view your shot on the LCD.
The part I did not like was that you had to close the doors/covers to get a good view through the viewfinder and if you are one of those photographers that needs to view each and every shot, you will get frustrated having to open and close the hood. This is for the shooters who shoot and check their shots after they are all done or download it to their PCs etc. and then view. So patience is a virtue for this hood and that is why I gave it a 4 star versus a 5 star. I am a little impatient. That's my problem and not the hoods. I do recommend this Hood Cover for the Nikon D40 & D40X etc.

(More customer reviews)Get this first for your new camera! It's no fun to get scratches on your only LCD screen. Remember that 2.5" is the "diagonal" width of the LCD from one corner to the opposite one. The protector is ensured to be clean and free from particles as you have to remove a plastic coating from each side first. There appears to be some dimming of the LCD brightness after the protector was applied, but I'm not certain. Overall, this is a great value and product that I'd recommend to protect your camera!

(More customer reviews)I bought these cloths a week ago on Amazon. I have used one of them for the last few days. I have cleaned my 35mm lenses and it did a great job. Better yet was the job it did on my iPad. It might be my imagination but I was able to remove fingerprints and smudges from the iPad screen with less rubbing than with my standard lens cleaning cloth. Another plus for this cloth if you are an iPad user is the cloth is the exact size of the screen. When I am not using my iPad I leave the cloth spread over the screen for added protection. I have a fold over case for the iPad and it keeps the cloth in place.
I have not used the cloth enough to require washing so I don't know how it will hold up. With the pack of five I got for $10.00 including shipping, I am not that worried anyway. I gave one of these cloths to a friend who also has an iPad and he really likes it.
I never thought I would be writing about a cleaning cloth, but when you get a good product, I think it is good to share your results with others.

(More customer reviews)I wasn't about to use one of those clear stickers to protect the screen. Those definitely protect against scratches. This one however, protects against impact. You can't even tell it's there once you put it on, it's thin strong and fits perfectly on the back of my D3000. I considered getting the other protector but I don't like the idea of it connecting to my viewfinder and using a plastic eye-cup. Besides, those scratch easily and allow particles to work their way between the plastic and the screen, creating deep gouges and scratches.
This screen protector is basically invisible while offering complete protection for your LCD screen. It doesn't scratch and it wipes off clean, easily.
Overall, I'm very happy with it and I bought an extra one, just in case something happens to this one, I'll have a ready replacement.
Before you attach it to your screen, make sure your screen is PERFECTLY clean and completely dust free. Removing this screen protector isn't easy and once you disturb the glue, I doubt it'll stick as flush as it does. That's the other thing, while it's as close to perfect a fit as you can get, you'll want to line this is up very, very, carefully because of the 0.5mm thickness you don't want that edge to be hanging over at all. Like the packaging says, it's recommended to turn the screen on before applying. I'd also recommend you apply this screen protector in a very well lit area.

Hoodman H-CAPD3 Nikon D3 Hood Cap Review

(More customer reviews)I have been using a D3 for almost a year and noticed a few very fine scratches on the tempered glass LCD monitor viewscreen. Recently I bought one of these Hoodman covers for my D3. After using it for about a month I have one long fine scratch on it. If that saved the tempered glass from such a fate, it was well worth the expenditure. One tip: I tried removing the cover and could not do so (I was concerned that it might break if I forced it further). I got a fine, flat screwdriver and, with a slight twist, was easily able to remove the cover by doing so.
