You even have the choice of using this bracket left or right handed & it has the ETTL2 cord for Canon EOS cameras to install your speedlite on this bracket at different angles. Only issue was the other cord, 'the push or clicker extended cord' installed already in this bracket. It's purpose was to make taking pictures a little easier, but it was no use for me. It was not the right extended cord recommended for my type of Canon camera, this cord was probably made for Nikon cameras. Seller should of gave us a choice to request for the right extended cord for your particular camera, thats why I gave this review 4 stars. Anyway, it's still a great bracket.

Custom Brackets CB Junior Kit, with CN-JR Flash Anti-Twist Bar & AT Camera Anti-Twist Review

(More customer reviews)I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the CB Junior. The precision machine work on the bracket is evident, right off the bat and the 3/8" aluminum leaves no doubt it will support the equipment. Local camera shops only carried a leading competitor, so I had no hands on time with the CB Junior. I think the shops are missing out here. Once you see the CB Junior and hold it, in my opinion, there is no comparison.
The offset camera mount allows access to all camera controls on my Canon 40D even with a battery pack. The mount is also tapped for a tripod or plate adaptor.
The flash bar works smoothly with a cam/spring mechanism, which holds the bar securely in either position, yet it is easily flipped from on to the other.
The handgrip is a solid feeling piece of foam, which surrounds a solid handle. It has no play, slipping or rotating at all, as some foam grips do.
I would recommend the CB Junior "kit", which includes the anti-twist bars. Not sure why these aren't standard equipment. Both pieces are equal in workmanship to the bracket itself. I was skeptical of how the camera anti twist plate could work for all Canon, Nikon or Fuji cameras until I saw how it attached to the bracket. Its simplicity makes you wonder why some other brackets require a different anti-twist plate for each camera and still another if there is a battery pack attached.
Highly recommend this bracket.

(make sure this is the latest model with the added "handle on the front to hold with your left hand - instead of the lens - much more comfortable than the earlier model). Not only great for hand-held shooting at events, parties, etc, but works great on a tripod (get the Quick Release accessory!). I use it when I'm shooting product also, because once I have the camera level (using a spirit level) I can go accurately from landscape to portrait instantly.

A very useful product that is well made and sturdy.
This product is a joy to use with my SB800's and it is well built and can take a day in the field on location as easy as a day in the studio. In fact I might just need to buy one or two more of these.
Best of all is how easy this tri-flash is to use, after a day with Photoshop CS4 and a day or two with the Nikon D700 camera manuals I can not tell you how much I enjoyed something simple that did not make me feel like a total dummy ten times before I got it right.There are cheaper ones out in the market but don't throw your money away, they break easy and this one is made to last.

I had no idea how important getting the flash up off the camera and flipping it when turing the camera could be until I used it. The results were great. I don't use a battery grip, so I don't know how the added camera height will affect the performance. But it is a great value, even if you have to sacrafice the grip.

(More customer reviews)After reading the limited number of reviews on the Stratos Proflip 90, majority of them negative, I came across one on buzzillions that made me give this a try and I'm glad I did. This is not something I will use very often, so I wasn't excited about spending $250+ on similar models with better reviews. I like that when you flip the camera, it keeps the lens in the exact same place. It does require assembly when it arrives and they do not provide instructions on how to assemble, so it took me a little while to figure it out. And then you also need to make some minor screw adjustments so it can be flipped smoothly. Some of the adjustable pieces did not want to stay in place very well, which was annoying while shooting an event, but I'll just have to figure it out before the next time I use it and probably bring a tightening tool with me. You will also need an off camera flash sync cord, so don't forget to buy one.

(More customer reviews)I use this bracket for shooting weddings, simply L-O-V-E it. Word of caution, you WILL need a camera anti-twist plate AND a flash anti-twist plate. If you can't find one for your flash, I suggest you make one, I made one out of a washer, works great. Also you'll need to remove the pop out support leg, as it does more harm that good (it gets in the way of larger lenses and has a tendency to rub against your fingers). Also be prepared to have to re tighten the point where the bracket meets the bottom, it does and will get loose from time to time. Try some lock-tight to help.
Once you start using a bracket that swings OVER your hand, not under it. You will never go back to lesser brackets.

Simply speaking, it enables you to have your soft box or umbrella attached to your camera and shooting hand-holding it. Do you imagine how professional that would look in weddings or birthdays or that sort of shooting if you are in the photography business. I kept seeing big smiles on people faces when seeing me with the bulky equipment and every one seems to be forward in wanting their picture taking thinking they will definitely look good in them.
Quality (photography produced):
I do have many different types of diffusers for my set of flashes, I do mainly location shooting (for web, catalogs, ceremonial occasions etc) and the alzo soft box on that bracket produces very good results unmatched by any other diffuser, particularly good for human portraits. The umbrella worked fine too, you can attach two units for your main light and move around with them, very useful in very low light places where you can direct either flash to different angle to illuminate little bit of the background.
Quality of Bracket manufacture:
Seems to be sturdy enough, I haven't had it for a long time yet to comment on its durability, but looks like it will hold for some time, specially when its not going to be used for every shot you take!
Practicality:
It's not very easy shooting while hand-holding that bulk! It's heavy and have to be hold in both hands because it will put stressful torque if hand held in one arm, and you will get tired very quickly. When putting it down, the camera will not rest naturally attached to the bracket. Tilting the camera however, is very easy to perform while shooting. Attaching the soft box or umbrella very easy and very practical. If you wish to detach the camera from the bracket to attach it to the tripod then you will have to change the attachment piece which is not very practical.
Price:
For me is very reasonable.
Overall review:
I never thought I will have a soft box attached to my camera this way, and although portable softbox can be set as easily apart from the camera and can be better controlled too, but what works for me well is the reaction of the people I shoot I don't only get big grins because of it but also good professional reputation. compare me with another guy shooting the same function with the old boring flash on top of his camera, who of the two would you like him to take your photo then?

Right-angle-camera-rotation mechanism is very smooth; does not bind in the least.
When fully rigged with camera and flash, complete unit is very "stable" when resting on flat surface.
In order to hold bracket in left hand (operating shutter with right hand), I had to move the locking thumbscrew to a different [fortunately predrilled] hole.
Suggestion: Anti-scratch felt or foam coating on the unit's base (under camera mount area) would be a welcome feature. (I plan to add this to mine.)
Considerations: (1)Not sure a full-size DSLR would fit in this bracket. (2)Not sure the foam grip will hold up over time.

The build quality feels sturdy, holds the camera and flash securely, and is large enough to fit "professional" DSLR bodies and DSLRs with battery grips. The velcro cable straps were a nice addition. This is my first experience with a flash bracket, so I cannot compare directly with others, but I would definitely recommend this product, especially considering the low price.

(More customer reviews)This flash bracket is a terrific, useful gadget. I used it professionally with my old work-horse Nikon film cameras and am now using it with my Canon 30D. It does what it's supposed to do: elevates the strobe above the camera and flips to take vertical shots with the strobe over the top of the lens. Like I said, I've owned it for years and it has a whole lot of mileage on it. It looks a bit banged up, but it's still solid and reliable. It also conveniently fits in my Canon 200EG backpack.
The only problem that drives me nuts is the same one another reviewer, R. Shellhamer, has (although it seems to be less of an issue for him/her than it is for me). The damn thing puts the shutter release button on the wrong end of the camera when shooting vertically. It's a royal pain, but can be overcome by removing a few screws, reorienting the mounts, then mounting it backwards on the camera. Really, I don't give much of a rip if the Stroboframe logo faces outward.
At any rate, it's a nifty item that truly improves flash photography. For around $50.00, it's worth owning.

(More customer reviews)I bought this after some Internet research, so I didn't have prior experience with one. I was delighted to see how well designed and carefully machined it was when I received it. There are no stamped parts; everything is either milled or turned from aluminum alloy stock. Thus, all parts fit together well, and the product is sturdy throughout. The design is clearly very well thought out. The camera mounts on a slide for easy positioning horizontally. The flash arm attaches on a turned post and locks into place with a set screw on a handle onto a keyed flat. Registration is solid and firm. The flash arm is thick enough to be store without being bulky. It takes my SB-900 without bending. It took me a minute of study to see how to flip the camera to a vertical position, but it really is simple and easy to do once you see how the mechanism is designed. Once vertical, it is held in place with a small lever. I use a Nixon SC-29 interconnecting cable between my D90 and the flash. Ther is plenty of room for it. The flash is held firmly in place by a quarter-20 bolt on a machined wheel that pulls it down onto a rubber-coated pad on the top of the arm. It all is well thought out and manufactured. The camera slide is a bit tricky to get back onto the base after it has been removed, but eventually I saw how to do it. I used the rig with my monopole and also with my tripod. It works well. Once fully loaded with D90, SB-900, and a long lens, it is heavy, but that's just the way it is. This is a great buy.
