(More customer reviews)I love this adapter. I have had fun shooting video that looks more like film with smaller HD cameras with this adapter. You can see samples on Vimeo.
Overall the Letus Mini requires not much more than focusing and remembering to turn on the adapter motor, which runs on 2 AA batteries. Other adapters require you to purchase other "flip" devices or to flip your picture in post, which means you have to view/record your image upside down.
At first I tried to use it without support rails, that was a bad idea. The Letus Mini while small, is almost as heavy as my camera so I didn't want that much weight hanging off the front of my camera unsupported. The plastic threads on my camera had me a little bit worried about the whole set up, so I got the rails afterall.

I run two film crews shooting on DSLRs in remote countries with no support with custom rails packages for their accessories, and both kits use this shoulder mount for body stabilization. It's just so versatile! Yes, it is cheap as hell. You could snap it over your knee. But you know what? If you're worried, just buy EIGHT of them for the price of half a RedRock or Cavision or whoever-else shoulder mount. I say again: incredible.

I was a little weary ordering this since it had no reviews, but I really wanted prime shipping so I took the gamble and got a good product.
Also you can unscrew either of the hot shoes if you prefer not to use one or the other, which is handy as it turns the ugly shoe sticking out into a smooth surface with just a 3 small holes where the screws went

(More customer reviews)like many who purchase this, i film skateboarding. i have a nikon d5000. for a dslr, this helps a lot with stabilization because you have to hold a dslr differently than a camcorder. i recommend this if you have one. also id your camera has bad sound quality you should buy an external mic and put it on top.also obviously a good fisheye with a wide angle close to 180 degrees. its very high quality and worth themoney i definately recommend buying it for a dslr
