Cleaning kit worked great and for the less than the price of one cleaning from Nikon I'll get multiple cleanings from the kit before having to purchase additional supplies.

I am surprised Adorama is doing it. Got mine and no difference from my existing one :( and no mention of thin or ultra-thin in the box of the filter or the filter itself.

(More customer reviews)This thing is amazing! A friend let me borrow his on a stargazing trip, and I had never heard of one. I had a pair of expensive binoculars I had resigned to having spots and tarnishes on the objective and eyepiece lenses. I of course thought this was some gimmick that my friend had been taken for $10 over. Was I ever wrong! It completely polished all four glass surfaces, rendering them all back to the nice deep purple-green tint I was used to seeing on my brand new binoculars way back when I had bought them. I had tried everything from lens cloths to cotton swabs to get them clean before, and what I thought were permanent disfigurations of either the glass or the light-transmission coatings, they were instantly removed!! My lens surfaces are completely spotless and look brand new. I will never be without a couple of these in my astronomy bag. I hope someone is making several million dollars off this innovation; they deserve it.

For the price I would buy this one again because I can make a few brownie points with friends by giving away a few of the redundant ones. The single pen is only a few dollars cheaper, so grab this one and have a lens pen for each camera bag you have!

LensPen FilterKlear Filter Cleaner Review

(More customer reviews)All in all this does as it advertises. I used the original LensPen, which was designed for cleaning lenses, to clean my filters. Although they clean smudges very well, the curved cleaning tip of that original LensPen works well for the curved glass of a lens, but not so well for the flat surface of a filter, and the edges of the cleaning tip eventually wear out much quicker than the center.
This LensPen filter cleaner has a flat surface, and is much more suited to cleaning the flat surface of a filter. As with the original, it cleans extremely well, and because it's flat, I don't have to worry about the edges wearing out as with the original LensPen.
However, unless all your filters are tiny (like 52mm) you will be wishing that the cleaning tip was much larger. For larger filters, the cleaning tip is just too small to clean the filter quickly and easily.
Other than that, I'd recommend it, since nothing else cleans smudges off my filters as effectively as this.

(More customer reviews)Blowers generally just blow dust around. In my experience, wet cleaning has to be repeated many times to work properly and can leave hard-to-remove streaks if more than just the perfect amount of fluid is used.
Lens Pen (despite warnings from people who, when you check, have actually never used the product themselves) is safe when used as directed. Inexpensive, quick to use and works!
I've used just about every sensor cleaning method known to man and they ALL have had some problem at some time--until I started using the SensorKlear from Lens Pen about two years ago on my Canon pro cameras.

Sima Lens Pen Review

(More customer reviews)It looks like this product has been around for years. (There have been good reviews since October 2000.) So I decided to get one. I received it quickly from Amazon (with no shipping charge since I purchased other stuff that exceeded $25). I must say I like it very much. And I will buy a few more with my next Amazon purchase.
I tried it on my lowly point-and-shoot 35mm Olympus camera first. The brush does not seem to scratch the optical lens and the compound works like a charm. After that test I moved on to my Nikon Coolpix digital camera, Nikon N70 35mm SLR and my new Nikon digital D70 SLR. Under bright lamp, I carefully examined the lens surface, it passed my eyes. No scratches or lines. It really does a great job. I am impressed.
I was tempting to buy a similarly priced Nikon brand cleaning pen but now I don't need to. This one already does all I need to do.
Now my next step is to get one for each camera bag.

I received my item and this is no longer true!
There is only one circular cleaning heads on the end with no other cleaning heads when you remove the tip.
Other than that, the cleaning head works well. It is circular and approx 0.3" diameter.

Just watch out for that lens cleaner bottle, it likes to leak so I've been too afraid to put it in my bag with the gear.

(More customer reviews)You might not need everything in here but will be glad to have the chance to try it out. The blower is top quality and does an excellent job. The cleaning pens both work great but only for their intended uses: Small electronics. Do not use them for any jobs outside their scope like computer monitors. Follow the directions on the items and you should be OK. The cleaning solution works well along with the cloth. You also get a mini-kit with smaller, cheaper versions of everything else. The mini-kit might have been useful for on-the-go work if it had been put in a sturdy case, but the flimsy carboard box will make you think twice.
People who know exactly what they want may be better of getting the individual items.

(More customer reviews)The first thing i noticed when i got this order was the size of the Rocket Air-blower. It is much larger than i thought. It seems like it is much more suited to be grasped with a fist than with your finger tips. I have not used this kit as yet but the little gray brush with the sqeeze handle is so cheap and flimsy it is not even funny. Same thing for the bottle of cleaning solution. The cotton swabs are nothing special and the lens paper can be had at any camera store really. I believe the only things i will use are the rocket air-blower and the lenspen. The other stuff are just taking up space in my camera bag.

I got the UV filter I needed plus a bunch of other really useful supplies for less than the price of the Hoya UV filter by itself from elsewhere (even here at Amazon). The lens pen seems like it's going to be really handy (I've only used it once so far, but it worked well, and it's nice and compact). Even the little lens cap elastic strappy thing seems like it will be very helpful for not losing my lens cap. All the extras seem to be off-brand/no-name (other than the Hoya filter) but they don't seem crappy or anything. Just un-branded. Which is fine by me.
Shipped via standard USPS and got to me fairly quickly even tho I don't think it was mailed out until a few days after my order was placed. I ordered on a Tuesday, got it on Saturday, I think it actually shipped Friday, from someplace pretty near where I live. Perhaps had I paid for 'expedited' shipping it'd have gone out more quickly. Nevertheless, I'm very pleased with the purchase.

(More customer reviews)I purchased to use with my new Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28K. This great camera has a body that's nearly impossible not to get fingerprints on the LCD. The DigiKlear worked great to clean the LCD. It's amazing how it's self-replenishing and cleans without the need for a spray cleaner or cloth. After using the DigiKlear, I covered the LCD with an Invisible Shield by Zagg which is the best screen protector I've found. The LensPen is also great and it is so much better than Nikon's Lens Pen. I haven't yet used the cleaning kit but I'm sure it will come in handy. I purchased this combination kit since it was cheaper than buying the items individually. I would have given it 5 stars if it had come with a small case to keep all the items organized. I suggest that they create a cloth case with pliable plastic pockets that rolls up such as a wrench set that has a string to bundle it up. But that might have made it more expensive. I'm hoping the Tamrac bag I ordered will be able to keep these items safe & organized for when I need to use them. The two pens would have cost much more to purchase individually so it's like getting the cleaning kit for free.

(More customer reviews)I love this cleaning set. The pen is great for quick cleaning, like a little dust or salt water on the lens. EVen the accidental finger print. And the cleaning paper is great for further cleaning without lint. I do find the felt cleaning cloth does leave lint behind. I use it more for the outer parts of the camera and maybe sometimes the view finder on my nikon D60.There were some extra items that were unnecessary and sit in my camera drawer for possible future use. I do not need two brushes or pump blowers. But I may someday. We can always use extra, right?!?

(More customer reviews)I'll preface this by saying that I've owned cameras for over 60 years, so I've had plenty of experience with fingerprints and dust on lenses. I'll also tell you that I purchased a lipstick-sized badger hair brush for a half-a-buck in 1957 and still carry it with me, so what really interested me in this "cleaning system" was the chamois which supposedly will take off fingerprints without scratching the lens.
Sorry, Amazon (and Nikon), but this was not well thought out. It may be inexpensive, but it's supposed to be a LENS cleaning system, and I certainly wouldn't trust an expensive lens to the chamois and a rather "sparse" brush! Others may have found a use for it cleaning iPhones and LCDs, but that wasn't the advertised purpose.
It comes in a box that's much bigger than necessary, and inside that box was a 20 page limited warranty in five languages. But not one word about the product. Do you wet the 3/8ths inch chamois disc before using (NO!). When it wears out or gets filthy, how do you replace or clean it? I guess this will be one of life's little mysteries.
It gets worse. The chamois does not remove fingerprints. "Conveniently," I had a fingerprint on my Canon SX10IS, carelessly left from yesterday's shoot. I brushed first, and then used the chamois. Simply put, the fingerprint didn't even smudge though it felt as though the disc was applied with sufficient pressure. And the brush left a couple of bristles behind!
I ended up doing what I've been doing for the past 5 years, using a 3 square-inch microfiber cloth from my optometrist (you can get them anywhere including Amazon) which got rid of the smudge quickly and easily. SEE PHOTO. A similar brush - albeit without a cap - is available through Amazon: Giottos Retractable Goat Hair Brush.
The chamois on this AmazonBasics, by the way, remains exposed so I wouldn't store this in a camera bag or purse for fear that something will get on the tip and then really scratch a lens.
Sorry that I have to disagree with all the other reviews, but other than using it to remove dust from negatives or old slides, I just can't recommend this "system."
