Hi, I bought this cable for my Elinchrom Skyport Universal trigger set, because this trigger set doesn't come with the right connector for my Canon 580 Speedlight 580EX II. It connects to the flash hotshoe and it has a coldshoe to mount on its corresponding supporting device (Justin Clamp for example). The 3.5 mm plug goes into the Elinchrom receiver. I haven't had any problems with it, so this is a must-have if you're buying this Elinchrom EL 19360 Skyport Universal Trigger Set to be used with Canon Speedlights.

Digital Transmitter and Receiver Kit with Household Plug Review

It works great. It is smaller and lighter than other manufacturers versions. It is also less expensive than the Pocket Wizards that I see many photographers using. I have used it on my Canon cameras with Norman (2000 and 800) and Novatron (440) power packs and have had no problems. It is great not tripping over wires anymore. My tripping over a "sync" cord and breaking a camera is what made me invest in this item.

The MicroSync Digital is the smallest smartest wireless solution for firing strobes and cameras. The Freedom of Wireles:Whether your'e shooting in the studio or on location, firing your strobes with a sync cord can be impractical, inconvenient, and sometimes even impossible. Not ant more! The MicroSync Digital wireless strobe sync system allows you to fire strobes wirelessly. So liberate yourself from the limitations of your sync cord.Ultra Small, Light and Convenient:The MicroSync Digital is revolutionary because it is super minature, extremely lightweight, and almost operates itself. Just place the transmitter in the hotshoe of your camera, plug the receiver into your strobe's powerpack and fire! Its that easy.Automatic Power Management:The MicroSync Digital has a unique automatic on/off power management system. There are no on/off switches on the transmitter or the receiver. When you press the shutter the transmitter turns itself on, sends the signal to the receiver, then turns itself off- all in milliseconds. Because of this advanced power management system, the battery life of the coin cell in the transmitter is anticipated to be 3 years.Four Channels:There are four channels on the MicroSync Digital to allow you to shoot without interference from other MicroSync users in close proximity.

Wireless Flash Trigger For Canon Sigma Pentax Olympus Review

Hi, sorry for any English mistake. I have a Canon Rebel T2i / 550D and i liked this flash trigger. It does what I expected. I could suggest some improvements, like an easier to remove cover. Its really difficult to change the bigger case batteries. Another very good idea could be an extra socket over the transmitter, so we could use 2 flashes, one over the camera and another one remote. Ok, I could use the canon 580ex II flash unit to do this, but its much more expensive for a hobbyist like me. I have a speedlite 430ex II. I am quite sure I can buy 2 (or more) of these flash triggers and use 2 flashes remotely. What this evaluated product gives me is the opportunity to change the light perspective over the scene. It is also not full compatible with the camera/flash set. Its perfectly justifiable, as the product is generic. What happens is that you have to set the flash options manually, but its ok. Probably a specific and full compatible product would cost much more. I am totally satisfied.

Flashpoint Q Series 6" Beauty Dish Reflector for "A" Size for Shoe Mounted Flashes Review

Flashpoint Q Series 6 Beauty Dish Reflector for A Size for Shoe Mounted Flashes
Average Reviews:

I have never been happy with the flash portraits on my old Pentax K10D,
until now. I have never understood why the large studio beauty dish
reflectors cost so much. I have used numerous types of diffusers,
bounced the flash of the ceiling etc. and this product is the only
thing I have been happy with for close up indoor shots of people or portraits.
I don't know why it works or how and don't care. I have not used it much
so cannot justify five stars, but I am happy with the few photos I have taken.
I would recommend anyone to give it a try and I guess the could return it
if they are not happy. The only problem is that I am now considering the expensive beauty dish reflectors on my two studio lights. It seems to me that anyone that
is serious about flash photography of people needs to take a look at beauty dishes.

The "Q" Series Beauty Dish Reflector measures 6" in diameter and comes with a silver deflector panel. It redirects the bounced, rectangular output of a standard shoe flash into a more diffused, flattering pattern of light. Light emitted using the Beauty Dish Reflector is soft and shadowless. Just like the name implies the result is similar to using a studio beauty dish reflector. The Beauty Dish is secured to the flash with a velcro strap.Available in "A" and "B" series. YN CTR-301 Hot Shoe Flash Light control Remote Trigger w/ PC Cable Review

YN CTR-301 Hot Shoe Flash Light control Remote Trigger w/ PC Cable
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've been using the CTR-301P radio triggers for about a year now and absolutely love them. If you're trying to take your Speedlight flash off the camera, it's one of the most convenient methods (ETTL cables are limited in length and quite pricey, PC Sync cables are also limited in length and a bit of a hassle to manage), the CTR-301P allows you to trigger your speedlights remotely without any cables. An important thing to note, for anyone unaware, is that when using the wireless sync on these you will not have ETTL ("Automatic") flash control - you'll need to manually set the power levels on all of your flashes. Newer (and much more expensive) radio triggers such as the PocketWizard MiniTT1 Radio Transmitter for Canon TTL Flashes and Digital SLR Cameras will carry the ETTL signal to your remote (ettl compatible) flashes, but those cost about 10x the price per receiver.
The CTR-301Ps have 2 modes: Wireless and Light. Wireless lets you put the receiver on your cameras hotshoe and trigger the flash wirelessly as the shutter is pressed. Light allows you to use another light source (on camera flash, for instance) to trigger the remote flash. An important note about the "Light" mode is that ETTL signals can prematurely set off the remote flash (ETTL uses a series of flash pulses really quickly which can throw it off). If using light mode, make sure the on-camera-flash is set to manual to prevent the ETTL flashes.
If using a speedlight, slide the hotshoe connector into the top of the receiver. If using studio-strobes, the package comes with a PC-Sync cable that connects from the receiver to your strobe.
Underneath the receiver and transmitter are 2 switches - these allow you to change the "channel" that the wireless signal uses. This is mainly useful if 2 people are using the same triggers, to prevent one person from setting yours off (or vice versa). Different combinations of these switches allow for 4 possible channels.
Range from the 301Ps is nice - I've never gone more than 20 feet, but they've always triggered for me. They're supposed to go 30 Meters (about 90 feet), but I haven't tried this -- obstacles in the way (such as walls) will also shorten the reach.
The bottom of the Receiver has a female tripod-threading. This allows you to easily attach it to a lightstand or tripod and mount it almost anywhere.
Unfortunately, the CTR-301P uses odd batteries. No AA or AAA here, you'll need to find CR2 batteries. I found some cheap at a "going out of business sale", but otherwise they can be a bit costly and you'll probably want spaces so you're never out shooting and the batteries die on you. I can say that the battery life is very good on these - just make sure to turn the receiver from Light or Wireless to "Off" when done.
On top of the transmitter is a test button - press this and it will send a signal out to all receivers on that channel and set the flashes off.
That's about it for these receivers - they're simple, to the point, and do a great job. There are higher-end ones out there - if you need more reliability/reach (and as a bonus, the ability to wirelessly release your cameras shutter), take a look at the Yongnuo RF-602 system. It costs a bit more, but is a newer/more advanced technology. If you want to go the next step, that would be the Pocket Wizards, but at close to 200 dollars a piece (per transmitter/receiver) its a VERY expensive system.
The CTR-301Ps do a great job if you just need a quick and easy way to get your flash off the camera and to a remote location. I highly recommend these!

I have been using this device for about a year now and am amazed at how well it works. When you are working with Flashpoint monolights, it is about as simple to set up as you can imagine. Simply plug the AC plug on the unit into the back of the flash, the 1/4" plug into the flash trigger, plug the power cord into the bottom of the unit, mount the transmitter on your hot shoe and you are shooting wirelessly! No more dragging PC cables around to trip over, no more wondering if your PC plugs are making a good enough contact to fire... just point and shoot.
I have not had an assignment yet where I was out of range... I have used it at weddings (pre-light the ceremony and fire wirelessly from anywhere you can see the bride and groom), product shots, portraits and even outdoors with power inverters running the lights.
My only complaint was that it did not work with the economy lights that Flashpoint sells. They have a built in AC cord and it can't plug directly into the flash unit. I was able to build an adapter that I velcro onto the light stand that lets me use it with the smaller lights, however. Flashpoint did provide the stepdown adapter for the 1/8" flash sync plug used on the smaller lights as part of the remote control kit.
Great unit. I plan to buy a couple more as back up units.

Designed to simultaneously trigger monolights or strobes wirelessly. There are four channels so each channel can avoid interference from others working the same job. It will also keep others at the event from firing your lights with their point and shoot cameras. Because of its low power consumption the transmitter can be fired 20,000 times on a single 3 volt, #BYUL23A battery. There is only 0.01mA of current so it may be safely used with all digital and film cameras

This wireless trigger provides an efficient and low-cost radio remote system option for cameras to trigger a flash unit synchronously. It allows the user to place the flash at different angles and distances from the object being photographed making it a very useful and flexible tool for portrait and product photography. In addition, 4 channel DIP selection allows the capability to work in a multi-studio environment. The wireless trigger kit consists of a signal transmitter which slides onto the camera's accessory shoe; and a receiver which can be attached to any portable flash unit with a hot-shoe style base or via a PC sync cable. The receiver receives a radio signal which is emitted from the transmitter when the shutter is pressed. This signal allows the receiver to trigger off the external flash unit. Each receiver works with a single flash unit. Average Reviews:

I know it's a pain in the neck to contact manufacturers and even worse to try and find one of their people who can answer your questions, but in this case it is CRITICAL. This handy gadget can reduce the sync voltage on your old flash unit to a level compatible with your digital camera. Doing this can save hundreds of dollars when you don't have to buy a new flash unit. However, do the homework and make sure that it provides sufficient voltage reduction for YOUR particular digital camera. I completely fried the hot shoe on a $400 Olympus Camedia by just assuming that it would work.

Click Here to see more reviews about: Wein 990-560 Hot Shoe to Hot Shoe Safe Sync

SAFE SYNCS Safely regulates and reduces the flash sync voltage of the flash from up to 400V to less than 6V. This is especially important for current automated SLRs or digital cameras when used with older flashes or lighting systems. This model mounts directly to a camera's hot shoe and provides a hot shoe on top and a PC female flash connection on the side. You can have a flash connected to the hot shoe and a flash being triggered by the PC female connection-and unlike so many other offerings of this type, both will fire simultaneously from the same signal.

Love the divice. It works well. Can't say for the durability because that's too early to tell. The one thing I really like is that you can turn the sensor module in any direction wich means that it can be triggered from any direction besides just in front. NOTE that it won't work with the Janis battery grip sensor though. Perhaps the Grip is faulty...I don't know...although that was also the case with my friend's Janis battery grip as well.

The flashwave lll wireless radio slave is a very good product. It is well built and very easy to use. Ive purchased (2) of them over the past (6) months along with a transmitter and ive had no issues what so ever. There were a few times when the flash did not go off but it was very few and far between and usually happened when I was more than (100) feet away. Between (100) and (150) feet it fired (7) out of (10) times.
Once on a windy day I had my 580EX ll and the flashwave lll receiver on a Paul Buff light stand. I didnt have the coupling tight and the wind blew them off the stand. Upon hitting the ground the flashwave connection for the 580 became dislodged. I simply took the flashwave apart and screwed the connection back on from the inside then put it back together, it was a simple process and it now works perfectly. There are cheaper products out there which dont perform half as well and more expensive ones that are similar in performance. For most photographers this is more than enough and would recommend to all semi pro Photographers who want a great product for a decent price.

I've used this a few times, and overall it's very good. Too good sometimes, in fact, that it is so bright it can overpower and wash out your photos if you don't get it set right. The 2800 Electronic Flash has two automatic power settings, an exposure verification indicator, an adjustable bounce head for soft lighting effects, and energy-saving thyristor circuitry for faster recycling and longer battery life. While most camera's built-in flash units are only effective from a distance of 8 to 12 feet, the 2800 gives you the freedom to be more than four times farther away. With this much additional flash power, it's like having a bolt of lightning at your command. >>> The Sunpak Digital Slave Grip has a comfortable contoured hand-grip with quick-release camera platform and enables the use of an auxillary flash as a wireless remote "slave" to complement the camera's built-in flash. It can even be used off-camera with an auxillary flash as a remote slave for more professional and creative lighting effects. Most digital cameras emit a "pre-flash" and/or a "red-eye" pulse that fires before the shutter opens, then an additional flash pulse is fired to actually light your picture. This "pre-flash" ("double-flash") or "red-eye" pulse confuses other non-digital flash and slave units, causing them to go off at the wrong time, and are therefore useless for your digital camera. But the advanced pulse-counting digital circuitry of the Sunpak Digital Slave Grip is not fooled by the "pre-flash" and also eliminates the need for an electrical connection to your camera. The Digital Slave Grip has five LED-indicated pulse counting/delay variations allowing it to ignore "pre-flashes" and fire the High Power 2800 Flash at the precise moment your camera requires. Set it up with your camera's built-in flash just once using our included easy-to-follow step-by-step directions and you are all set for noticeably better flash pictures from that moment on. The 2800 Flash and the Digital Slave Grip require 8 - AA batteries: 4 for the Flash and 4 for the Digital Slave Grip which are included in this kit, along with a padded case, NiMH Charger, and Cleaning Kit.
