I was fortunate enough to have a friend loan me this lens for a couple of days and it covers the most widely used focal lengths required for professional work. I wasn't hunting around in my bag for a lens to get closer to my subject and I could easily pull away and get a nice wide shot. Lightweight and easy to focus - it just feels good. You will need a flash for indoor shooting, though. Get one - it might be the last lens you will ever buy.

Sigma's 28-200mm F3.5-5.6 Aspherical IF-Premier is one of several new Sigma lenses. It incorporates one Aspherical Lens in the rear lens group and the one Special Low Dispersion (SLD) glass element in the front lens group. This high magnification zoom lens covers focal lengths from 28mm wide angle to 200mm telephoto, with close-up capability. It incorporates special internal focusing to enable it to focus as close as 19.7 inches (50cm) from film plane to subject, at all focal lengths, and to the use of polarizing filters. A detachable "perfect hood" is provided. The optical materials used in this new lens are lead and arsenic free ecological glass.

NIKON N80 QD 35mm SLR Camera Body -Requires Lens- Review

(More customer reviews)I have used different cameras, from manual Russian cameras, to state of the art point-and-shoot. I have even fiddled with digital cameras, and considered switching to digital. Well, I decided to stick to film for now, so I bought the Nikon N-80 (known in Europe as Nikon F-80, same camera with minimal software differences).
This is a very good camera, which adapts to every kind of user.

Occasional users: You can set it to automatic mode, in which case you have a very expensive point-and-shoot camera (even though I don't know why would one buy this camera to use in auto mode only). For people with little experience the camera's many controls might be intimidating, and the included manual provides help only for people that know quite a bit about cameras. Also, the flash has to be popped opened manually in order to work, which many people would forget (like I do sometimes). Perhaps, for ocassional users, it would be better to stick to a point-and-shot camera designed for point-and-shot.
Advanced amateur photographers and hobbyists will get the most out of it. Think of a professional camera similar to F-100, without the proffessional price tag. They will have all the customizations offered. I love the simplicity of exposure controls. You can switch by turning a thumb-wheel between pairs of speed-diaphragm while keeping an optimum exposure (in auto mode). In addition, a good option is continuous or single shot metering mode, which comes handy in action situations. For situations when timing is important, the controls are so well placed that once you get used to them, you can change all the settings without even taking the camera from your eyes.
If you are a professional, you already know about this camera and about the F-100 line, which might be better for you in some situations (even though in 90% of the cases this camera would be more than enough).
Things that might need improvement:
In dark places, the focus is somewhat slow (even if the "illuminator lamp" is used), and if your subject moves, you might have a problem focusing fast enough in auto mode. I lost some pictures in the beginning, until I learned to circumvent this issue by switching to continuous focus, or even to manual focus. I think that any other camera in this class would have the same troubles in similar situations.
All things considered, I love this camera and I wish I had more time (and money) to play with it.

(More customer reviews)I'm exceptionally pleased with this purchase. The D80 feels very well designed, very well thought-out, very capable without being too complicated. I was considering the D200 before the D80 was announced, but it seemed like a lot of money for a body, given that I'm just a hobby photographer. The D80 seems to be most of a D200 without the more expensive magnesium body and the weather-proofing--nice things I would love to have, but does it really make sense given my use and the $800 difference. The hardest part for me was the 3 frame per second burst rate of the D80 compared to the 5fps of the D200, but Ken Rockwell and others wrote that unless you are shooting a lot of sports, you're probably going to be happy with the 3fps and I think I am. Also, I took Ken's advice and went with this lens which is the least expensive of the kit lenses and placed my order for the impossible to get 18-200mm Nikon lens. This lens doesn't have a lot of reach but it seems amazing in quality.

You get everything with this package. But for the telephoto lense and any other items in here except for the camera and the twins lense, it is all Zeikos brand. I haven't got the chance to try this lenses. Overall i'm satisfied with this package and the packaging also is good and my items arrived safely and fast!

(More customer reviews)I received my order a couple weeks ago and was happy at the time because it came in only 11 days from the time I ordered it instead of the estimated month to a month and a half. I then gave a 5 star review regarding my order and as requested by your company in order to receive a free gift. I am very happy with the camera and the two Nikon lenses but the rest of it leaves much to be desired. Upon closer inspection of my order afterwords I came to realize that it was missing an item that was supposed to be part of the package, to be specific, the mono pod did not come with the delivery. Also, I was not aware as it was not made clear that the Huge Accessories Package consisted of all Zeicos products which I have found to be very cheap and of very poor quality. The camera bag began falling apart two days after I got it and felt very cheap to begin with. I hadn't even taken it anywhere yet, all I had done was put the camera and lenses in it. I have since ordered a much better and higher quality bag from another company. The 2X Telephoto is worthless because it distorts any pictures so badly. The tripod is very flimsy and is very dificult to set the camera in whatever position desired. The tabletop tripod is so small I wouldn't even trust my small point and shoot camera on it. Perhaps in order to prevent some customer dissattisfaction in the future you should specify in your product descriptions what brand the items are so that your customers and make informed decissions about their purchases. You may also want to include better quality products in your packages instead of products that are so poorly made that they are useless to begin with or fall apart in a couple of days. Had I known at the time I gave my review I would have given a 2 star and only that high because I love the camera and Nikon lenses. I will most likely not be doing business with Sunset Electronics again and I will recomend the same to my friends and family and anyone else who asks as well. Putting trash products in your packages to make it look like a great deal is no way to do business and is certainly no way to keep your customers happy and purchasing from you instead of someone else. FYI, I still haven't received the promised free gift for my 5 star review that I gave at least 3 weeks ago. I don't really care if I get it because I am sure it is probably another peice of cheaply made trash. I hope you actually read this and change how you conduct your business so that others don't get screwed the way you screwed me.
