B+W filters are the best! I purchased this filter to use on my Nikon 24mm-120mm and it is a great fit; clear and sharp. No problems!

Nikon Coolpix 7900 7 MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom Review

I bought the Nikon Coolpix 7900 for my wife and daughter. We couldn't be happier about it.
I have a Minolta Dimage A2 which is larger, heavier and more expensive and has a lot of manual adjustment capability. A small part of my almost regrets lugging the A2 around because the Nikon is so small and light and performs so well.
It has been perfect so far for any sort of snapshot we've used it for. If exclusively taking snapshots was all I did, I would definitely replace my A2 with one of these. I'm keeping and continuing to use the A2 because of hobby non-snapshot photography, but will be borrowing the Nikon from my wife and daughter for anytime I need a quick, easy camera for snapshots on the go.
One note: We had a Nikon Coolpix 3200 which we enjoyed very much. The 7900 is a nice upgrade from that. The only disappointing change for us from the 3200 to the 7900 is that the 3200 uses AA batteries while the 7900 requires a special rechargable battery. It lasts long, so no complaints there - but it was always nice with the 3200 to be able to grab two AAs on the road rather than recharging.

Maximal Power Replacement Battery Grip Combo for Nikon D40, D40X, D60, and D5000 Review

Maximal Power Replacement Battery Grip Combo for Nikon D40, D40X, D60, and D5000

I know MaximalPower brand because I bought their batteries, which is the good quality I've been used for the aftermarket battery. I purchased this package for my D5000, the package come with two EN-EL9A batteries and six rechargeable AA's, so I will almost never have to charge the camera.
After open the package, I'm surprised the EN-EL9A batteries they provided is not the cheap low mAh one, it is 1800 mAh almost double capacity of my original Nikon battery and made by Japan cell. The AA also is the high capacity one (2900 mAh).
The grip is well made, the finish is decent, the black matches the D5000 pretty well. It also has the storage room for the battery door. Installation was easy too. Really balances the whole body out, makes my D5000 looks like a professional DSLR :-D
However, since Nikon didn't ever want to sell a grip for the D5000, there is NO way for the grip to trigger the shutter by communicate with camera directly. It has a vertical shutter release via infra-red signal. This means that you push the grips shutter release, and it will instantly focus and shoot. No half press for continuous focusing until you're ready. It is not MaximalPower's fault and they don't had a choice. In fact, I think they did an excellent job.
The only con is the package only shows the grip, doesn't say anything about the batteries. I was worry Amazon sent me wrong item, but when I open the package, the batteries are in there.
Overall,I'm very impressed with MaximalPower's product, and it was a great purchase, highly recommend.
