It holds up my Nikon 5000D easily, and has multiple knobs that allow you to point it in any direction. It fits easily into the side pocket of my camera bag, so it can go anywhere with me. This compact clamp is made in the USA, VERY well built, small enough to fit in you pocket.

It allows a camera, camcorder, spotting scope or binoculars that has a tripod mount, to be solidly attached to a table, roll cage, car tube bumper, fences, railings, tree branch, shooting bench, so on and so forth (you get the idea), using a standard 1/4"-20 threaded quick connect screw, just like any standard tripod. It attaches to either round or flat objects from 1" to 2.5" thick, with rubber on both sides of the clamp, it will not scratch or slip. It utilizes a ball and socket mount to allow maximum flexibility in framing the subject.

(More customer reviews)Hold an amazing amount of weight when stuck to a windshield or side glass. Well made, solid and versatile! I gave it 4 stars because I thought the main arm was too short .... it needs another 2-3 inches to be really functional inside a car (irrelevant if used outside).

(More customer reviews)I have used this item only one time and it seems ok. It's got a very plastic look and feel to it. Looks like if you over tighten some of the swivel parts to hold the camera position that they might break. I will have to pay attention to that. I'm talking a SLR camera and the weight of L-lens on it. So I'll see how it goes on that.It wasn't a great deal of money and it looked to be the best one available through Amazon.
