(More customer reviews)The M-16/AR-15 was designed with a carrying handle. Now that optics are tough enough for the battlefield, the handle is out and optics are in. Nikon has designed a family of scopes that are tailored to the AR platform and the 55 gr. 223 round. The scope is fantastic and so is the rifle, but when I mounted the scope with regular rings, I was not able to get enough eye relief with this scope, or any other similar scope. The Nikon M-223 mount was designed to solve this problem, and it does. It moves the scope forward on the rifle enough to provide excellent eye relief. To make things even better, it has 20 MOA of elevation correction built it so that I don't run out of elevation "clicks" at longer ranges. Finally, it is solid as a rock, repeatable and great looking. I am totally satisfied and give this mount my highest recommendation.
