(More customer reviews)so, i bought the 2GB Hitachi Microdrive for my girlfriend when i got her a brand new Canon 20D.... fantastic camera, and you would think that she would have no problems with 2GB worth of room (500+ pictures).... i was wrong.... several shoots later of waterfowl along the coast she kept filling the 2GB card due to the continuous shoot mode of the 20D (5 pics/second for 5 seconds)... she then had to 'borrow' my 1/2 GB compact flash card from my Canon 410... so i looked up what the 4GB microdrive was going for and was very pleased to see this drive listed... was hesitant at first in terms of the Pexagon label, but found out that they are just a US distributor for Hitachi.... so i took the plunge and am very glad of it....reformatted the card with the camera just to make sure it was all set and it has worked flawlessly ever since....she has yet to fill it on a single shoot!!! (although she has come close a couple of times)... and thus far we have never had an issue with either microdrive, especially in terms of reliability... i know some folks are concerned about shock ratings and the like, but as long as you take care of the card as well as you take care of your camera i don't see from an engineering perspective why there would be any issues....great buy!!!!!

(More customer reviews)So to answer the questions to "frenzel" and "Izzybee" none of you two would be able to utilize high transfer speed of this card nor for ie. Lexar's 80x , you are simply limited with your Camera Writes to buffer speed. It is often hard if not possible at all to find that information and Camera Manufacturers do not disclose this information. You can gain the speed for transferring the images from these cards to your computer if you use USB 2.0 or Fire Wire card readers, but that is all the gain you will see, so to gain fast response of your Camera you may need New Cameras that support faster writes to Camera's buffers, something like Nikon D70 or New Canon Digital Rebel 350, I am taking about "Prosumer level" of DSLR's hope this would help...

(More customer reviews)Wow! I needed an SD card for my new digital camera. Speed of the disk is an issue these days. When you take a photo the disk has to store it then get ready for the next photo. Regular SD cards take some time to do that. So, if you are shooting rapidly, or doing video, you can quickly hit the limits of your regular SD cards speed. The Ultra II is in the next speed class up. It's plenty fast for all but the most extreme user. It's not as fast as the Extreme III, but that costs half again as much.
So, I was already sure the Ultra II 1GB was what I needed for size and speed. Then I saw it... this version where the case of the SD card folds in half revealing a USB Hub Port. Which means you can plug your tiny 1 GB SC card straight into your laptop or computer through the USB port. No need for a card reader.
This card works in Treo 650s, digital cameras, and anything else that takes a type I SD card. They even give you a free key chain that holds the SD card.
It's big (memory), fast (memory access), and innovative (USB build in). For me it was worth a few extra dollars more than the regular Ultra II.

Lately though, I've really been wanting an every day walk around bag thats not too big, but still can hold at least my camers, two small lenses, and some other small things like memory cards, cables, batteries, etc. Oh, and I didn't want to pay a lot of money for it. I came across this bag on amazon, and took a chance. I hadn't really heard of the company USA GEAR and I'm so glad I took that chance and bought the case. It's really light weight, very durable and, and best of all, holds everything i need it to plus more! It comfotably fits my D40 with 18-55 lens and my space 35mm lens. The hammock inside suspends my camera so there is no pressure on the lens or body. It has like seven pockets for my memory cards, batteries, filters, keys, and a granola bar haha! It's just a really great functional bag that I honestly use every single day now. I'm thinking about buying another one actually, and one as a gift for a friend of mine.
