Holga 193120 120 Wide Pinhole Camera Review

Tripod and shutter release cables are required. The build quality of mine was better than I had expected. (Holga is best known for light leaks and bad plastics.) I've shot in 6x12 which does show a fair amount of light dropoff, but one can crop after scanning. Personally I've been shooting B&W (Ilford & Kodak Tri-X), developing it in the basement, and scanning it. The camera does come with a 6x9 mask as well. There would be less dropoff in that, more frames per roll too, but you wouldn't have the impressive extent of the image. I've loaded 35mm film into this as well, and exposed it over the sprockets. That's really wide!

For studio work with the Holga camera, this is a very useful accessory. In the field, it gets in the way of an otherwise fast-handling camera.
It allows you to buy colored plastic transparencies, cut them to size, and use them as camera filters. It works well.

Very pleased with the camera. The fact that the camera was accompanied by an attractive Samsonite case and a lead bag for film protection was a pleasant addition. This seller is to be applauded. Thanks very much, indeed.

Holga Polaroid Instant Film Back Review

So, the polaroid back for the holga is amazing... I have been shooting Fuji instant film with mine and the colors turn out great. Just be prepared to do bulb shots if you're not in bright sunlight. This product is very easy to figure out and install, actually way easier than spooling the 120 film that holgas normally take.

Lomography Diana F+ Medium Format Camera with Flash Review

Got this camera and had a Blast! It's easy to use but offers plenty of room to learn and fine tune your film techniques. The medium format is fun and I shot some great pictures with it, however I completely suggest getting the 35mm back for this camera. The camera has been sturdy for me, I've had no problems and it seems as long as i treat it fairly well it should last a long time for a plastic camera. I've also used a Holga too, and I strongly recommend this camera. You get a lot more options and add-ons with the Diana. good luck, take some fun pictures.

The brand new Diana F+ is a faithful reproduction and a loving homage to the classic Flash Diana - with a few new features tossed in. First off, it includes a retro-styled electronic flash which fires a burst of white or colored light at your subject. Included adapters allow you to use the Diana Flash on standard hotshoe cameras (like the LC-A+ and Fisheye 2) or use a hotshoe flash on Diana F+ body. Its plastic lens, 2 shutter settings (daylight & "B"), 3 aperture settings, and manual focus are all hallmarks of the original Diana. And on top of that, the Diana F+ offers a removable lens and super-small aperture for pinhole images, two image formats (12 or 16 square shots on a standard 120 roll), an endless panorama feature that allows for unlimited and nearly seamless panoramic shots, and both a standard tripod thread & shutter lock for easy shake-free long exposures. Each package includes the new "Diana Vignettes, More True Tales & Short Stories" book - packed with over 200 pages of Diana history, Diana+ images, and truly off-the-wall fictional stories. Uses all varieties of medium format 120 film.

Lomography Diana F+ 38mm Super Wide Angle Lens Review

I bought this to use with my Nikon D40. I have to say I wasn't expecting a lot. It's a plastic lens, and some of the joy of plastic lenses comes from things like light leaks on cheap cameras.
But I'm really enjoying it! I have to manually meter, and things aren't sharp, but the metering's simple on a DSLR (just keep adjusting the shutter speed and taking photos until the histogram is correct), and the lack of sharpness is exactly what makes this lens dreamy. Obviously, shooting with a digital camera, I don't have to worry about the cost of developing film, like the previous reviewer.
I was actually looking forward to playing with these photos in Photoshop, but I was surprised to discover they needed minimal post processing.
One nice thing about the lens is that it is super light. Some might complain about that, but I love that I barely feel my camera around my neck with this lens. It means I'll keep my camera with me even more than usual and get more photos.
Amazon's photo policies make me uncomfortable. If you are interested in seeing sample photos with this lens, I have a set on flickr: [...]
