(More customer reviews)I bought this to use with my Nikon D40. I have to say I wasn't expecting a lot. It's a plastic lens, and some of the joy of plastic lenses comes from things like light leaks on cheap cameras.
But I'm really enjoying it! I have to manually meter, and things aren't sharp, but the metering's simple on a DSLR (just keep adjusting the shutter speed and taking photos until the histogram is correct), and the lack of sharpness is exactly what makes this lens dreamy. Obviously, shooting with a digital camera, I don't have to worry about the cost of developing film, like the previous reviewer.
I was actually looking forward to playing with these photos in Photoshop, but I was surprised to discover they needed minimal post processing.
One nice thing about the lens is that it is super light. Some might complain about that, but I love that I barely feel my camera around my neck with this lens. It means I'll keep my camera with me even more than usual and get more photos.
