The new Mark II bracket fits perfectly with my Nikon SB 900's. Wish it were less expensive, but "you get what...". An excellent solution for in-studio and on location.

(More customer reviews)The light is plenty bright enough, and is dimmable. I was able to shoot video with the Panasonic DMC-FZ100 camera in AVCHD HD iA mode and the light worked great. The picture was plenty bright enough even for this camera. The bracket is pretty cheap, and I would recommend getting the additional bracket that mounts to the camera to take the weight off the camera hot shoe. Cowboystudio Heavy duty Photography Video L bracket with 2 Standard Flash hot Shoe Mounts The light takes an assortment of batteries, but I used 6 AA NiMh rechargeable batteries on it with great success. The light has a double swivel and the screws are hard to tighten enough to stop the swivel from moving. One person in another review roughed the joints up and used star washers with a good outcome. I will try that also. The light itself is outstanding. It comes with two diffusers and I found that taking the diffuser off made the light brighter. It projects light out over 20 feet. I will post a link in the first comment showing the light and the results from using it.

(More customer reviews)I have a Nikon D40 and lost the original. This one doesn't seem to fit all the way in, so there is a bit of a gap between the end of the cap and the back metal clip of the hotshoe. I might try to shave it a bit with a knife, but I am disappointed it doesn't go to the edge and dust could still get in.
Update ... I found my original cap and they look the same at simple inspection, BUT ... the original says Nikon BS-1, while this one doesn't say anything, so it is definitely not manufactured by Nikon. By visual inspection it's almost impossible to tell why this one doesn't fit well. It seems like the stops under the cap are not quite the same height or position, but it is not by much. Just enough to not let the cap go in all the way. I am glad I found my cap, although after I bought this one. The price is not too bad (considering that it is less than a nikel worth of plastic) but the shipping is ridiculous (over $6 for something that will not add weight to a regular letter) ... this is a lot to pay for a small piece of plastic that "doesn't quite fit".
