The Opteka T-Mount Adapter for Canon EOS enabled me to fit a 500mm vivitar mirror lens to a Canon eos digital camera, giving me a focal length of 700mm! The depth of field is quite shallow because of the fixed aperture of f8, but I have been able to get very close to birds and animals unnoticed. The adapter saved a lens that would have otherwise gone unused. It is useful for all your manual focus T-mount lenses.

Drastically improve your flash photography with this absolutely ingenious invention. Why hadn't someone thought of this before? It's a cleverly engineered way to bounce lighting for indoor shots, so that you avoid common flash-photography problems (red-eye, blacked-out backgrounds, washed out facial details, and all other nasty-looking byproducts of harsh direct lightsource).
It makes your photos look more natural, and even more professional (since you're using a technique that professionals routinely use, but for a tiny fraction of the cost).
It's lightweight, durable, easy-to-use right out of the box, completely foolproof. The Lightscoop is a godsend for amateur photographers -- your candid snapshots and portraits will instantly look a thousand times better.
Prof. Kobre, the Lightscoop inventor, has personally trained the nation's leading photojournalists for the past 3 decades, and has written the acclaimed definitive textbook used in photojournalism classes everywhere. Prof. Kobre spent years perfecting this quintessential solution to eradicating bad flash photography.
So what are you waiting for? If you're spending hundreds on a camera, then fork over an extra $30 to get the most bang for your buck. In fact, get one for yourself, and one for a friend. Makes a great affordable present for camera junkies, who will love you for giving this to them.

Professor Kobre's Lightscoop, a bounce device for the pop-up flash on most 35mm DSLRs with interchangable lenses, slips over your camera's pop-up flash and allows you to bounce the flash like professionals bounce an expensive external flash. The Lightscoop is the inexpensive answer to natural-looking bounce flash and digital photography lighting. (Even professionals like it for casual shooting!) No more harsh shadows, bleached faces, red-eye, or cave effect from direct pop-up flash!Reviewers tell the story: "Bounce pop-up flash by snapping a Lightscoop over it, a little piece of plastic genius," Popular Photography, March 2008 "...just as if you had used one of those reflector umbrellas that the pros use," David Pogue, New York Times, "Circuits." -- "It slips into your camera's hot shoe, fits right over the pop up flash, and redirects the camera's flash to a ceiling or wall. That's bounce, baby, bounce... as essential as a lens cap," DingbatMag, the monthly review of Cool Tools "Your pop-up flash doesn't have to suck... I was stunned by the difference," Terry White's Tech BlogThe Warming Lightscoop has a gold-tinted mirror. Professionals often use a filter over the flash to achieve a warm effect when shooting portraits. Since filtering a pop-up flash reduces its power, the gold-tinted mirror warms yet still properly exposes pictures.Compatible camerasCanon 5D, 7D, 10D, 20D, 30D, 40D, 50D,60D, Rebel

First, this is NOT a diffuser, but a device that bounces the light from the pop-up flash to a ceiling or wall. A diffuser softens the direct light coming from the flash but can't evenly light foreground and background subjects. Bouncing the flash is how professionals get great lighting effects with their expensive flashes. You've probably seen them at work at weddings or events, when they tilt the flash head to point up to the ceiling or sideways to a wall. So the Lightscoop instantly, easily, and inexpensively adds this kind of versatility to SLR cameras that have pop-up flashes -- without spending big bucks on another piece of equipment. I bought a new lens, for example. Maybe later I'll buy a fancy flash, but right now I have enough to learn. Check out the Lightscoop Users Group on Flickr to see what other ordinary people are doing with this amazing and easy-to-use piece of equipment.
