In order to use these lenses and filters on the Nikon Coolpix 8700 you must attach the adapter tube wich is about 7cm in lenght. The problem is that when you attach the tube and then the Wide Angle Lens, you can see the interior of the tube at the shortest focal lenght. In order to 'clear' the tube from the viewing area in the corners you have to zoom in (extend the lenses) so the wide angle doesn't pick the tube, and you end up at almost the same field width as you were before attaching the adapter and the wide angle lens, which defeats the purpose of buying and using a wide angle in the first place. To be honest it's useless and you have to be careful not to extend the zoom too much or it will hit the attached wide angle.

It's a shame that you have to use the adapter tube because it makes your camera very cumbersome even if you only want to attach any of the filters. The problem is that the lenses are 52mm and not 40mm as is the interior ring of the camera lenses. The telephoto works well in this camera.
