Works great for indoor photos where I was usually getting very yellow photos with my Nikon D60. Now, nice natural colors.

Polaroid 67mm Domed White Balance Lens Cap Review

(More customer reviews)I use to leave my camera setting on Auto White Balance a 100% of the time, but after purchasing this cap, my white balance setting is 100% custom! It's so easy to use, leave the cap on, select "Auto" shooting on your camera settings, go to object where you'll be taking the picture to, aim your camera away or where you'll be standing to take the picture, take the shot, take the cap off, click on menu, go to custom white balance, select the picture you just have taken, set it as your white balance and you're done! All that will take you no more then a minute (that's a long time)! It normally take me 30 seconds or less to set the custom white balance. Once it's done, go back to where you were going take the picture from and then shoot away! This cap helps a lot with post processing. Your picture come out so much better. The color is more accurate. I love this cap, my picture is not yellow under "tungseng" or too blue in the shades anymore, without post processing. It seems almost perfect!
If you're a JPEG shooter, then this will be your camera lens' bestfriend! Another brand I do recommend is BRNO baLens. The BRNO baLens seem to be a bit more accurate. But you really can't see much of a different. They both work well, I do prefered the BRNO baLens cap over the Polaroid but then again the Polaroid is cheaper.

(More customer reviews)The cap in the picture shows a "cavity" on the back side. This is similar to the original canon lens cap design, such that the clips are held together by a circular rubber-band that allows a gap between the cap and lens itself. The actual lens cap does not have such a design. The clips on the actual cap depress towards the center, leaving no cavity in the back side. If your lens is convex (mine is), the rear of the cap may touch and scratch your lens. BEWARE!

(More customer reviews)For the price, this isn't a horrible product. However, when they arrived, I discovered that the tether is only about 4" long. This means that, after wrapping it around the barrel of the lens, there wasn't enough room to get it back onto the lens cap. The unit does have an elastic band, so by pulling the unit "away" from the barrel, I was able to gain the extra inch necessary to secure the cap. However, this put a constant pressure on the adhesive. After two days, the glue gave out and mine snapped back and hit the camera. Tucking it back into place, I have since found that, as long as I re-secure it every couple of days, it will stay in place. I just wish the tether string had been a little longer.
