(More customer reviews)I received this tripod for Christmas, and it has been a great little tripod to carry around. It's light enough to carry around on trips or hikes. The ball head makes it easy to position the camera to get just the right picture at the right angle. I was filming a wedding and had a camcorder up on the tripod. Because of the way the seating was arranged at the church, the tripod was at an odd angle. With the ball head it was trivial to get the camcorder level.
The only drawback that I have noticed is that it does not come with a quick release mechanism for the camera. You have to screw the camera directly to the tripod. This makes the tripod a little awkward to use. I bought a quick release adapter, the Manfrotto 323 RC2 Rapid Connect Adapter with 200PL-14 Quick Release Plate, and that works great with this tripod.
