(More customer reviews)I already have a Canon 430EX II Speedlite. I would like to get the 580EX II but finances won't allow that right now. I also would like to build up my supply of off camera speedlites for my photography. The YongNuo YN462 is affordable and reliable. Looks a lot like the Canon Speedlites at first glance but other than that, no comparison. But I knew this before buying it. The YN462 works just fine. I have been using it off camera with a wireless receiver and have been very happy with it. You just have to play around with the setting as far as the strength of flash as it just has a knob to turn with no way to exactly set the amount of flash you desire. This is a no frills flash about as basic as you can get, which I like.
If you are looking for an affordable, no frills, yet reliable flash, get this one. It does the job just fine.
