(More customer reviews)The MB-17 adds some mass, balance & area to the N65 which although a good camera, is a little too light & small for my preferences. My hand has more area to grip comfortably, the balance is improved with larger lenses, & although not in fashion these days (like film), the extra mass actually helps stabilize the camera. It's a great alternative to having to use expensive, non-rechargeable, non-environmentally friendly CR-2 batteries. It uses 4 AA batteries, either rechargeable (NiMH work great) or alkaline. Nikon's usual construction quality is evident here. It's plastic but it is solidly made. Good shape & fit. Great price!
