(More customer reviews)I've tried several similarly sized lights and this is the best one so far. It's very bright, the dimmer goes down to almost nothing, it doesn't emit the annoying high-pitched whine that some lights do, and it comes with 2 color-correcting filters and it's easy to cut out a piece of gel and slide it in behind the diffuser if you need a different gel.
The only problems I've seen so far are: It's a little big (it takes 6 AA batteries). The construction of the swivel arm at the bottom is not the best and it seems a little loose; I wish it was removable so I could replace it with a more rigid shoe mount --I wouldn't want to be moving quickly with this mounted on the camera. There's nothing holding the filter in the holder so it can easily fall out, but it's nothing a little piece of tape can't solve.
