I bought one for my Leica D-Lux 3 and both the card and the reader work fine. However, if you are shooting RAW files, the write speed is very, very slow. So you might want to look at the Ultra version of this which I think costs about $20 more.

SanDisk is proud to announce our newest format and capacity to the SD card family:Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) 4GB flash card, tested and rated Class 2, for speed and performance. What is SDHC?To support the higher capacity needs, SD cards are now requiring a different design. The new SD 2.0 specifications - which supports 4GB and up - is called Secure Digital High Capacity(SDHC). The SD Association has created and defined 3 speed classes to help you identify speed and performance capabilities/minimum requirements of SDHC cards and their SDHC host products. Details on the SD 2.0 specification: http://www.sdcard.orgCards address data (read and write) at numerous speeds. Many factors impede this performance. SDHC guarantees a minimum read and write speed necessary to handle recording high quality video and audio. The maximum card speed may vary, but you can always depend on SDHC cards to meet your SDHC host products high quality performance requirements. The SDHC card is a highly secure stamp-sized flash memory card, which can be used in a variety of digital products: digital music players, cellular phones, handheld PCs (HPCs), digital cameras, digital video camcorders, smart phones, car navigation systems and electronic books, that follows the SD 2.0 specifications. I'm a filmmaker, and I'm often transferring digital files (music, pics, mpeg footage) between Macs and PC's, in addition to sometimes watching things on my Treo
I purchased a SanDisk Plus USB card last summer and I'm in love with this sucker!
I have a Treo, Mac laptop, and digital camera --- the card can literally be swapped between all three devices, transfering files from one to the other
However, the USB slot is a very welcome feature! The card is a bit fragile, but as long as you're gentle, the card's USB slot fits excellently into all USB ports and gives very quick access and transfer speeds --- this has made file swapping between my Treo, Mac, and other PC's a complete breeze!!!
The best part is that the card plays nice between PC and Mac, and can still go in and out of Treos and Digital Cameras
And lastly, the card is very durable --- again, you have to be gentle when placing the USB stick into a slot, but the card folds up and is as solid as any regular SanDisk card --- although I don't use it, SanDisk also provides a very useful key chain, which is a tiny case that will keep your card protected, while dangling off of your keys (if you like)
I highly recommend it!
Peace and love to you all!

With my equipment, this 'Extreme' card is faster than an 'Ultra' only in a few situations. Usually, the two cards perform identically, and you can buy three Ultra's for the price of two 'Extremes'.
The 'Extreme' captured 29 RAW images in 30 seconds, while an Ultra captured only 23 (the camera supposedly can capture 3 frames/second). Using the computer's USB 2.0 card reader, the Extreme uploaded just a tad slower than the Ultra (1.2 seconds/frame, vs. 1.15 seconds/frame). When capturing JPG's, the two cards were about equal (85 vs. 86 frames in 30 seconds) with the Ultra a tad faster... a negligible difference.
If the camera could capture 5 frames/second instead of 3, or the card reader were faster, the 'Extreme' card might have been faster than the 'Ultra'; but this is the equipment I have.
So, if you know your equipment can take advantage of the extra speed and you'd rather have the slight speed advantage than have three cards ($29/each) for the price of two ($43/each), consider the 'Extreme'. Otherwise, I'd recommend using the 'Ultra'.

I have been using both the SanDisk Extreme class 6 and the Lexar Pro in my Canon Rebel T1i since I bought it last summer. With the class 6 and shooting in JPEG, I would never need anything faster but in last several months I have discovered all the pros of shooting in RAW. When I shoot action/sports in RAW/continous with the class 6, noticed I was now getting a little lag after several shots. I was looking into the Extreme class 10 when I noticed this new Extreme Pro. It's incredibly fast, even in RAW. I wholeheartedly recommend.

I use these cards in my Nikon D90 and they work perfectly. Gives me about 350 exposers RAW+JPEG(fine), and video looks very smooth.... no missing frames. Definitely a great buy.
The D90 is 12mp. with this card I get about 350 RAW+JPEG shots, 530 RAW shots, or 1000+ JPEG shots. Shooting in RAW mode, burst shooting will slow down after about 6 or 7 shots (D90). If You do a lot of burst shooting, go with a faster card for sure.

The card is good, and will ensure that the bottleneck for delays will be in the camera's circuitry, not in the write operation to the card post click.
However, read the description of this particular item carefully. What you get is a what they say here - a card in an anti-static envelope. The card that I got did not look new - the contacts had use marks on it. I am keeping it because I did not notice this detail in the description, because I got a great price, because I needed to use it right after getting it, and because it seems to work fine. But it isn't new - not that the description said anything about it being so.

It is NOT a retail package and only ships as just the SDHC memory card in its plastic storage case. Not a big deal until you run into problems; hopefully not.
The retail package includes the following critical items:
1) Lifetime Manufacturer's Warranty
2) Data Recovery Software mini CD (if you accidentally format your card with pictures on it, stop using the card immediately and use this software to recover your lost data!)
Unfortunately, at the time, Amazon did not offer a retail package of this card. You may want to check elsewhere.

I'm using this card (with the associated reader) with my Canon XSI. While the speed of the card exceeds the requirements of the camera, the fast read speed is a real boon when I need to move hundreds of RAW image files to my PC. The included reader is required for this, as the SD reader in my PC cannot handle this SDHC card. Very happy, I love the fast read speed this card supports.

Background you can skip
I purchased a new DSLR, an upgrade from my trusted Nikon D50: the D90.
I wanted to get the fastest and most suited 8GB card to accompany my shoots and needed something that would keep up with the Nikon's 30MB/s capability.
After wandering the web for the best card I found the following information: "the cards offer a 50 percent speed boost from 20MB/s cards, and the Nikon D90 is the industry's first dSLR to take advantage of the speed.
That means that with the 30MB/s Extreme III, the D90 can record 39 6MB JPEG images at 4.5 frames per second in continuous shooting mode. Getting them off is almost as fast, too, when used with SanDisk's new ImageMate Multi-Card USB 2.0 reader/writer."
Note that some reviewers on here gave the card a bad rating because of lack of speed. However, it is his own equipment that is the bottle neck so that is not the best of sources to judge on.
This card is fast fast fast in my D90 and I have since purchased a spare one.
In short:
PROS
- LEADING EDGE IN SPEED
- PERFECTLY COUPLED WITH NIKON D90
CONS
- EXPENSIVE
CONCLUSION:
For the serious prosumer this is a must have for your D90 or other capable camera.

Excellent product! the other reviewer should have checked if his/her device supported this format. A product should not be given a low rating just because of the user's fault!
But indeed, check if your product supports SDHC before buying.
I'm using it in a Lumix DMC-LZ7K and so far no complaints. I really like to have so much capacity in a high speed card, so I don't have to worry about the memory card getting full so fast.

I have been using Sandisk Ultra II Compact Flash and Secure Digital in my Canon 1DMkII bodies for more than two years. Canon recently upgraded the camera firmware so it is compatible with SDHC. I found out Sandisk had produced an Ultra II version of the SDHC at 4GB. The performance is equal to the Ultra II SD I have been using. It reads and writes at stated speed. Despite the information in the Amazon listing for this product it is NOT a class 2 card. It is much faster.
If you like the Sandisk Ultra II 2GB SD card you will like this card as well. The addition of a USB card reader is a very nice touch as there are not too many of these readers on the market yet.

UPDATE: May 13, 2010
I was contacted by an Amazon shopper named Rolla Gravett. He purchased a Transcend class 6 card that could maintain the 4.5fps to 100 shots. It could be a fluke but in the interest of relaying the facts, I'm letting you know that he offered video as evidence of this feat. Neither my Transcend class 6 card or class 10 card will do this.
Please let me know if anyone else has had this observation.Repost 10-28-09
To respond to a request, I've changed the video today and included the test shooting in Raw mode. As you can see I'm not getting the 4.5FPS that I got in fine mode. This was about the same time that I shot 100 images in fine mode. Thank you for your suggestion. I got 56 images in just under 24 seconds. On my Transcendclass 6 card I got 25 shots in the same mode/time. My Transcend Class 10 card captured 37 images. In my opinion this is a much better demonstration of the card's write speed.I have an Nikon D90. I purchased the 8G San Disc Extreme III card 30MB/S and a Transcend 16G class 6 card at the same time. The San Disc Extreme 3 card is incredibly fast. I get 100 pictures (4.5 frames per second) at fine resolution before the camera slows to buffer in 24 seconds. The Transcend card gets 17 photos on the same settings then pauses to buffer and only delivers 25 shots in 24 seconds. The Transcend Class 10 card delivers 66 shots in 24 seconds.
If you have the camera that can take full advantage of this write speed, this fast card is worth the investment. No more cringing while I wait for my camera to clear its buffer so I can take more pictures.
I like to shoot at 4.5 frames. It gives me a lot to pick through when I edit, but a lot can happen in a fraction of a second that can make a photo good or bad. Having the capability to hold down the shutter release and rattle off large bursts of photos is important to me.
I know this test is boring but it is a real world use test. I don't work for San Disc and would consider any other card with this write speed. A word of caution, all class 10 cards are not rated at 30MB/s, they only need to read and write at 10MB/s to be called class 10.
I have found that 8G is a good size for SLR Photography. In my opinion bigger cards are putting a lot of eggs in one basket.
If you have any questions or criticism please comment. I'll redo/repost the test if you can think of a way to make it better.
