If you want a taste of the very-high-grade binocular experience and a smaller-than-7x35 convenience for packing, these are great. The image is super sharp, bright, true, and very "3D": beautiful. Slightly truer color and sharper than the Nikon Action 7x35 (which is wonderful). The eye-relief is huge...absolutely no problem with glasses. That brings me to the main problem I noticed: that they are very sensitive to your eye location. You get black tunneling when you are a tiny but off-axis, even with the spread set right. That issue improves a lot with glasses on or contacts in...these are best used with the eyes corrected one way or the other. Since this is promoted for kids as well, make sure correction is on. That issue aside, these have a really sweet view. The somewhat narrow depth of field closeby is actually fantastic for picking out birds and animals in the woods or the yard.

Full-size binoculars can be too large for many people, especially younger users. Enter the Leupold Green Ring Yosemite binoculars, which not only fit smaller hands, but also adjust to fit the smaller interpupillary distance--the distance between the eyes--of smaller users, something most full-size optics simply can't do. As a result, everyone from youthful users to experienced adults can enjoy the optical performance that serious bird watchers and sightseers demand. This particular Yosemite binocular features a magnification of 6x, 30mm objective lenses, and a natural-colored finish, with full multicoatings to ensure maximum brightness, clarity, contrast, and color fidelity. The binocular also offers a wide field of view (420 feet @ 1,000 yards), making it easy to track faraway objects. And users will love the generous 20mm of eye relief, a perfect distance for comfortable extended viewing. Armor coated, rugged, and waterproof, the Yosemite binocular carries Leupold's limited lifetime warranty.

About Leupold From humble immigrant beginnings, Leupold grew--based on a promise of quality--to become a classic American company. In 1907, Fred Leupold set up a one-man shop at 5th and Oak streets in Portland to repair surveying equipment. He was joined by his brother-in-law, Adam Voelpel, and later by inventor John Cyprian Stevens, and the foundations for a century of success were in place.
During Leupold’s second half-century, the company focused heavily on the sports optics business. Leupold’s presence in the hunting and shooting market expanded with innovative optics and features that are now legendary among hunters, shooters, and outdoors enthusiasts. Many of the industry’s standards--nitrogen waterproofing, the Duplex reticle, and more--were Leupold creations.
