(More customer reviews)Nikon finally corrected a long-standing problem with many of their motor drives- the tripod socket was off-center on the bottom of the drive, causing balance and stability problems, especially with heavy lenses. The AH-3 raises the camera/lens a little above the tripod platform, but having the weight distributed evenly more than compensates for this. This little jewel is a necessity.
