(More customer reviews)I was not willing to spend the money for a speed light (for my D5000) at this time, but I wanted to improve my pics. This does the trick just fine. Its my first light so I have nothing to compare it to, but its easy to use. Slide it on, turn it on, shoot, adjust the f stop a needed, shoot again. I personally was not interested in a flash with a bunch of button, bell & whistles. I was not however impressed with the accompanying softbox and gels, they seem big and cumbersome and require sticking velcro on the flash. I opted for another type of diffuser which works ok.
