Sandisk has (or plans to have) 8M, 16M, 32M and 64Mbyte MultiMedia Cards within this year.
These memory modules can be used in MP3 players, but will be very useful in Digital Camera's, especially there small form factor, will make it very easy to carry many images in a small postage size memory.

Kingston 2 GB Elite Pro Secure Digital Memory Card ( SD/2GB-S ) Review

I've bought some of these cards for my various Canon P&S cameras, and gifted some too. Never had a data problem, ever. I've always bought them from Amazon.com (with amazon.com as the seller, not a third party).
I use one of the cards in an underwater housing-enclosed camera. Another in a camera I reserve for rough use when my DSLR might be in jeopardy from rain, snow, etc. They work great for long movies as well as hundreds of photos.
I haven't had a single Kingston SD card fail me yet. I look for Sandisk, but very often Kingston offers more performance for the price and honestly, I'll go for whichever is cheaper at the time. I like inexpensive, but not at the cost of quality. Kingston is a very reliable alternative to Sandisk if the price happens to be better.

SanDisk 2 GB SDSDX3-2048-901 Extreme III SD Memory Card (Retail Package) Review

With my equipment, this 'Extreme' card is faster than an 'Ultra' only in a few situations. Usually, the two cards perform identically, and you can buy three Ultra's for the price of two 'Extremes'.
The 'Extreme' captured 29 RAW images in 30 seconds, while an Ultra captured only 23 (the camera supposedly can capture 3 frames/second). Using the computer's USB 2.0 card reader, the Extreme uploaded just a tad slower than the Ultra (1.2 seconds/frame, vs. 1.15 seconds/frame). When capturing JPG's, the two cards were about equal (85 vs. 86 frames in 30 seconds) with the Ultra a tad faster... a negligible difference.
If the camera could capture 5 frames/second instead of 3, or the card reader were faster, the 'Extreme' card might have been faster than the 'Ultra'; but this is the equipment I have.
So, if you know your equipment can take advantage of the extra speed and you'd rather have the slight speed advantage than have three cards ($29/each) for the price of two ($43/each), consider the 'Extreme'. Otherwise, I'd recommend using the 'Ultra'.

Excellent product! the other reviewer should have checked if his/her device supported this format. A product should not be given a low rating just because of the user's fault!
But indeed, check if your product supports SDHC before buying.
I'm using it in a Lumix DMC-LZ7K and so far no complaints. I really like to have so much capacity in a high speed card, so I don't have to worry about the memory card getting full so fast.

SanDisk is proud to announce our newest format and capacity to the Ultra II SD card family: SD High Capacity (SDHC) 4GB card.To support the higher capacity needs, SD cards are now requiring a different design. The new SD 2.0 specifications - which supports 4GB and up - is called Secure Digital High Capacity(SDHC). The SD Association has created and defined 3 speed classes to help you identify speed and performance capabilities/minimum requirements of SDHC cards and their SDHC host products. Details on the SD 2.0 specification: Please find it on our website ,Cards address data (read and write) at numerous speeds. Many factors impede this performance. SDHC guarantees a minimum read and write speed necessary to handle recording high quality video and audio. The maximum card speed may vary, but you can always depend on SDHC cards to meet your SDHC host product's high quality performance requirements.

I have not had issues with SanDisk in the past. However, I bought this card and it quit working after 6 months. I would have not minded if it had been replaced, but neither the seller or SanDisk would replace it(yet this listing is claiming a 5 year warranty). The seller would not replace because it was too long after their return period. SanDisk would not replace because their warranty applies to "Brand New in Factory Sealed Retail packaged products only". So I am not knocking SanDisk exactly, but the bulk cards. Great price, but if something messes up you're outta luck.
