(More customer reviews)I had looked for a wireless shutter release for a while and even went to a camera store and looked at some. I wanted one that had a good range and could trigger the release from any location. I even had purchased another one online that was much more expensive that didn't work after I received it. Then ordered this one and I am really pleased. It worked from the first time I used it and it continues to work every time without hesitation. The manual doesn't give much information so I had a little bit of trial and error at first setting it up but then it was great. For the price this one works as good as the pricier ones. I would like to see an anchor on the unit so it could be tied to the tripod and not just dangling from the wire inserted in the camera. Most of the time it isn't a problem but it would be a nice feature to have when I use my taller tripod. I definitely recommend this wireless remote.
Update. I had this remote for over a month when the receiver accidentally fell out of my camera bag on the carpet and then it no longer worked. The battery was rattling inside and when I opened it up the small coiled wire to hold the battery in place had broken off and it could no longer be used. I can still use the transmitter as a wired shutter release but that defeats the purpose of getting this one. A call to the company did not result in any positive action. Now that I have had this experience with this unit, I find that it is delicate in construction and that it needs to be handled very carefully. I am looking into getting something more durable.
