(More customer reviews)The Interfit Strobies set is pretty cool for what it is and how much it costs. Let me explain. I use off camera hot shoe flashes for portrait work. I've used umbrellas and got bored with its simplicity and was ready to take the next step: light modifiers. I would recommend this set for beginners who want to learn to use the tools before investing in "the real deal."
This product is pretty poor quality; it can easily break if you're a brute. However, if you treat the items well, they'll be good to you. The softbox is a little annoying to put together (make sure you preassemble this before a shoot that you KNOW you'll need a softbox for), the beauty dish looks like it was put together with some metal and a glue gun, but does the job. The other items are just fine.
I feel pretty comfortable knowing that when I decide to invest in some real studio strobes, I can comfortably use the modifiers that go along with those lights.
This set is ideal for cheap, light, portable lighting gear, or if you just want to play around and learn by experimenting. Just be careful with this stuff, and DO NOT FORCE parts to fit together (except for the flexmounts on the flashes, that takes some elbow grease).
