(More customer reviews)I use this to attach various things (Zoom h4n, light bracket, mics ect...) to random places and my DSLR rig.
This bracket is pretty cool and built well for the price. Someone said that the ball does not lock very well, and I have also noticed that sometimes it doesn't like to lock into place. However, after playing with it for a while, you have to adjust the bottom section as well to get the top to lock. This is a weird design but it doesn't bother me.
I do like that it is built with an all metal construction. So once, you get it to lock, it is pretty sturdy.
However, I didn't recieve this item as advertised. It did not come with the 1/4" adaptor that slides into the flash bracket (as shown and said in the description.) When I called Amazon (which I believe has top notch service) they sent me out a replacement. The replacement didn't have it as well. So I guess it doesn't come with one. However, I did get two for the price of one, so that worked out well.
If you need a bracket with a ball adaptor and an umbrella mount, this is nice to have on hand. If you don't need the umbrella adaptor I would reccomend going with the Giotto one.
