(More customer reviews)I purchased the battery and charger for my Nikon S8000. I wanted a charger so I did not have to charge the battery in the camera. It is also nice to have an extra battery. The charger charged the included battery and the battery worked fine when I used it for Christmas pictures. Don't really know how many pictures it will take compared to the battery included with the camera but it works great as a back up. Although it said to follow the enclosed instructions for charging the battery, there were no enclosed instructions. Even though I am electronically challeged, it was pretty straight forward and I had no trouble. I would recommend this to a friend.
