(More customer reviews)THIS is the battery charger that should have come with the camera, instead of the inexplicably included charger that will only work with battery inside the body of camera. Perhaps some nut thought it would be easier for the consumer to leave the battery in the camera forever, but the enthusiasts I know all have second batteries - who wants to risk battery exhaustion in the midst of a shoot, without a back-up?? If I were the cynical type, I'd say it's because Nikon wants you to shell out more $$ for a decent charger; but at about $14, it's well worth the money; I've seen them for even less recently. Don't be confused - the Car Charger is IN ADDITION to the wall outlet charge ability, so don't go crazy trying to find a wall-socket charger - this is it. The Car Charge is an ADDITIONAL feature. Works fine. Go for it.
