(More customer reviews)When I got my used D700, the previous owner had installed the GGS covers on both of the LCD screens. While I generally have not liked having any of the covers I had seen on any of my LCD displays on other cameras, etc, the GGS covers are just super and I am very happy to have found this product.
In a lot of very active photo usage of my D700..most of the time using the eye-level viewfinder...the rear LCD accumulates a lot of skin oils, sweat, dirt, etc. Since I know this GGS screen is easily replaceable at low cost, I don't hesitate for a minute to use a T-shirt corner, handkerchief, lens cloth...anything to wipe it clean. If I were wiping the actual LCD surface, I would be a lot more hesitant to clean it off...and just 'live with it'...until I had the time and materials to do it with care.
The high quality of the 'optical plastic' is great...I don't notice any real degradation of the image..unlike most of the other similar products I have seen and used... Installing one of these is great insurance...and money well spent.
