(More customer reviews)So far, this product has performed as advertised. I have had it for a couple of weeks and have taken several photos using it. The lens hood attaches fairly securely but would be better if it threaded onto the lens/filter. It stays in place and putting the lens cap on can be done without any interference from the lens hood. I would reccommend this item if you can't find a NIKON brand.

Take better pictures with a lens hood! It extends beyond the edge of your lens, shading it and reducing interference from light coming at odd angles. A lens hood can also serve as some protection for your valuable lens, since it extends beyond the surface of the lens, shielding it from debris, moisture, bumps, and even fingerprints!
