(More customer reviews)I have a Minolta Maxxim 400i that came with the 35-70mm lens. On a vacation, the lens mounting was broken. I looked at Minolta as well as third party lenses. I have been very pleased with the abilities of the Sigma 28-135mm lens. The added versitility of the wider zoom range means I don't have to change lenses as often. The lens mounting is metal as well. The only drawback, and this is questionable due to its advantages, is the 62mm filter size. But, I like having the large objective lens for light gathering ablilty. I would highly recomend the Sigma lenses. I would say they are at least as good as Minolta lenses.
