(More customer reviews)Good quality, cannot hold the D700 with the Nikkor 24-70 f/2.8 which is a standard zoom lens. Out of the lenses that I have the Nikkor 85 f/1.4G fits very nicely, the Nikkor 105 f/2.8 Micro fits without noticeably distorting the case, the Nikkor 14-24 f/2.8 & Nikkor 70-200 f/2.8 VR II are way too large, the Nikkor 50 f/1.8D & the Nikkor 16 f/2.8 Fisheye are too small and leave a big empty space. Any lens significantly longer than the 105mm f/2.8 Micro will not fit. You can fit 2 batteries or similar-sized items next to the top right of the camera inside the case, but they do not have a separate pocket to hold them, if they are wrapped in a soft cloth they might not harm the camera, I would not put anything in this case beside the camera and the lens though. The camera has to have a neck strap attached in order to carry it in this case, as the case does not have a separate handle. While shooting it is possible to keep the case attached to the neck strap utilizing a small leather strap on the case, it is placed right on top of the little crevice where the neck strap comes out of the case, so no extra steps are needed to attach the case to it, you just open the case and pull the camera out and the case stays dangling from the neck strap, it does not look very elegant in that position though! Needless to say a battery grip on the camera is not an option. The case is modestly cushioned but feels reasonably sturdy, and would probably handle moderate bumps. It looks more elegant than the similar cases I've seen.
