(More customer reviews)This product can be used to trigger remote receivers connected to speedlights directly, strobes with a 1/4" adapter, or a camera with a proprietary release cable. The Yongnuo kit is head and shoulders better than other options I've tried; plastic, but quite solid.
Purchased this additional RF-602TX for Nikon to supplement an existing kit that included a commander and 4 receivers. With two commanders along with the required cables, I can -with one press- remotely trigger a shutter release which in turns triggers my remote speedlights or strobes.
I have been using my kit for over a year without any issues. The included CR-2 battery is good for a LOT of use before it needs to be replaced.
