(More customer reviews)We wanted to be able to use an older M42 Mount telephoto lens with a Nikon. This little metal adapter made the process painless. Much better than the plastic alternatives. If you plan to use the lens on other cameras be careful when attaching. If the intent is only to use with Nikon cameras a little of the blue automotive glue works to insure the lens stays with the adapter, and will actually allows adapter to lens disasembly and removal if you ever really do need to re-adapt the lens to a different lens mount. Most of the M42 lenses will require you to shoot manually with a Nikon. But good old optics can be reused if you have the need and an adapter like this one.
